The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for the position determination of a cylinder piston located in a cylinder liner, said apparatus comprising: a port for coupling an electrical signal into or out of the interior of the cylinder liner, wherein a signal coupled into the interior of the cylinder liner interacts with the cylinder piston. The present disclosure is characterized by a unit for determining the position of the cylinder piston which is connected to the port and which is configured to determine the position of the cylinder piston in the cylinder liner with the aid of a vectorial measurement of a signal decoupled from the cylinder liner.

The present disclosure relates to a high-pressure feedthrough for feeding through a coaxial cable from a low-pressure zone into a high-pressure zone, wherein the high-pressure feedthrough has a support structure having at least one elongate bore that extends from a low-pressure side of the support structure up to a high-pressure side of the support structure; wherein the elongate bore is suitable for receiving at least the inner conductor of a coaxial cable that can be continuously fed through the elongate bore from the low-pressure side to the high-pressure side; and wherein the high-pressure feedthrough has one or more components that serve in the axial direction of the elongate bore as an outer conductor and/or dielectric of the inner conductor of the coaxial cable fed through the elongate bore.

A device and a process for processing and/or joining work pieces via laser radiation, with an effective power laser and a pilot target laser that emit laser beams of different wavelengths, with the laser beams being directed at the work pieces by laser optics. Regarding the laser beams, by the laser optics that comprise at least one diffractive optical element (DOE) as a masking system, the beam pattern of the pilot target laser is adjusted to match the beam pattern of the effective laser beam. This is accomplished preferably by removing the pilot laser beam from the effective laser beam for part of the path length by dichroic mirrors, and by expanding the diverging pilot laser beam on said part of the path length by deflecting mirrors whose distance from the dichroic mirrors is variable.

The laser head () and the method that can be performed by the laser head () are suitable in particular for connecting a connecting element or branching element () to one end of a plastic pipe (). The laser head () makes simultaneous welding possible and has at least two shell parts () that can be radially separated from each other so that the laser head () can be placed around a connecting section () or a connecting region () of the tubular parts (). A number of laser sources () are arranged in the shell parts () in such a way that the laser beams () emerging from the laser sources () overlap at the connecting section () or at the connecting region () of the parts ().

Laser head and method of connecting tubular parts by the laser transmission method

The invention concerns a laser device for joining work pieces made of plastic by means of beam welding technology, with a processing head that has focusing devices for the laser beam. Here, the focusing device that is closest to the work pieces has a rotatably supported cylinder lens in the shape of a roller that focuses the laser beam along a single axis and presses the work pieces together in the form of a line in an area around the impact point of the laser beam. In order to enable the cylinder lens to always contact the surface of the work piece facing the processing head in a precisely tangential manner, the processing head has a pendulum-type suspension for the rotatable cylinder lens. This also makes it possible for the contact pressure exerted by the processing head to always act perpendicularly on the work pieces so that they are pressed together in all welding places in the same way in a defined manner during the welding process.
