In one embodiment, a method for a computing device communicatively coupled to an imaging system includes, selecting a scan protocol, displaying an adaptive scan protocol graphical user interface (GUI) on a display device coupled to the computing device, adjusting one or more parameters of the scan protocol in response to user input to the adaptive scan protocol GUI, updating a visual representation of the scan protocol displayed via the adaptive scan protocol GUI in correspondence to the adjustment of the one or more parameters of the scan protocol, and storing the adjusted scan protocol in memory of the computing device.

In one embodiment, a method includes, upon an injection of a contrast agent, performing a plurality of perfusion acquisitions of a first anatomical region of interest (ROI) of a subject with the imaging system, processing projection data of the first anatomical ROI obtained from the plurality of perfusion acquisitions to measure a contrast signal of the contrast agent, performing a plurality of angiography acquisitions, each angiography acquisition performed at a respective time determined based on the contrast signal, and performing one or more additional perfusion acquisitions between each angiography acquisition.

Methods and systems for a single-bolus angiography and perfusion scan

Methods and systems are provided for adaptive scan control. In one embodiment, a method comprises: while performing a scan of a scan subject, processing acquired projection data to measure a contrast level; responsive to the contrast level increasing above a first threshold, automatically switching the scan from a first scan protocol to a second scan protocol; responsive to the contrast level decreasing below a second threshold, automatically switching the scan from the second scan protocol to the first scan protocol; and responsive to the contrast level decreasing below a third threshold, automatically ending the scan. In this way, multiple scan protocols, such as angiography and perfusion scan protocols, can be interleaved within a single scan without the use of a separate timing bolus scan.
