A cutter for roll-dispensed stock is provided. The cutter has a retracted blade that can be actuated by depressing a button to move the blade to an extended position for cutting roll-dispensed stock.

A roll-dispensed stock container is provided. The roll-dispensed stock container has a recessed cutting track and can be assembled by computer aided manufacturing processes.

A dispenser for granular materials and a method of seasoning using the dispenser is provided. The dispenser has multiple deflectors. The deflectors can deflect granular materials in tangential and radial directions. The dispenser has a dispensing mechanism actuated by a user-manipulable lever connected to a yoke in which a pin is received for rotating a member of the dispenser. The dispenser achieves consistent quantities with each dispense with three different features. One feature is having a rim partially raised around the first member aperture. Another feature is pushing elements that cooperate with the partially raised rim. A third feature is radially staggered dispensing apertures.

Measuring dispenser for granular seasoning material and method of seasoning

A lid is provided for engagement with a projecting rim of an opening on a container. The lid includes a covering panel for closing the container opening and a skirt formed on a periphery of the cover and depending therefrom. The skirt overlaps with the container rim when the cover is positioned over the opening. The skirt includes a defined gap therein that is positioned between adjacent gap edges. A clasp is provided on the periphery of the cover adjacent the defined gap. The clasp pivots between an open position and an engaged position. In the engaged position, the clasp engages the gap edges and draws the edges toward one another. The drawing of the gap edges moves the skirt inwardly towards the container rim. The lid may further include a flexing portion defining a connection between the cover panel and the skirt. The engagement of the clasp on the skirt causes compliance of the flexing portion and a corresponding axial movement of the skirt relative to the cover panel.

Sealing lid for a container

A cutting assembly is provided that is adapted for use in combination with a container for dispensing a web of material. The dispensing container includes a plurality of adjoining sidewalls which define an external geometric profile. The cutting assembly includes a guide disposed in combination with a sidewall of the container and a cutter adapted for traversing within the elongate guide in a desired cutting direction. Furthermore, guide and bearing surfaces, formed on the guide and cutter, respectively, cooperate to permit sliding motion therebetween in the cutting direction and interlock to delimit displacement of the cutter relative to the guide in directions orthogonal to the cutting direction. A portion of the guide and cutter is disposed proximal to a corner of the container and recessed relative to its external geometric profile to facilitate container storage and display while additionally producing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The cutting assembly may also be adapted to structurally augment the corner of the container to obviate structural flaws which may develop due to loads imposed by the cutting assembly on the container.

Cutting assembly for rolled web materials

A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a container assembly, a diffuser and a metering cup. The container includes a reservoir which supports a disposable cartridge of granular material. The cartridge is supported in the reservoir so as to define a passageway therebetween. A nozzle is defined for the outflow of material from the cartridge. The diffuser is disposed on one end of the container and includes a plurality of apertures. The metering cup is disposed on the opposite end of the container and has an open end adapted to receive granular material. Adjustment of the axial spacing between the nozzle and metering cup varies the quantity of granular material collected in the cup. The granular material is dispensed by inverting the container to a second orientation, such that material flows out of the metering cup, through the passageway and out of the diffuser. The nozzle may serve as a piercing mechanism for opening the disposable cartridge upon its insertion into the reservoir.
