A portable lighting device adapted to provide an area light, said device including a body having a battery housing to hold batteries to power said device. The device includes a light panel functioning as a lens to act as an area light emitter, characterized in the said light panel is slidable into and out of said body, said light panel being constructed of a substantially flat panel portion.

Lighting device

A headlamp lighting device is provided that allows for the adjustment of the size of the light beam and forward heat dissipation. The lighting device includes a housing, a light source provided on the housing for generating a light beam, an inner thermally conductive heat sink, and an outer heat sink member. The inner thermally conductive heat sink is disposed in thermal relationship with the light source. The outer heat sink member is in thermal heat transfer relationship with the inner heat sink and disposed generally forward of the rear end of the housing for directing thermal energy generated by the light source towards the front end of the housing.

The present invention provides a flashlight or device having a body with a battery, and a circuit therebetween; recharging terminals for recharging the battery and an adaptor having electrical connectors for connecting to a power supply; structural connection means on the body and or the adaptor to releasably connect the body and the adaptor; and electrical connection means on both the body and the adaptor to releasably electrically connect the terminals and the adaptor. The present invention also provides a flashlight having a body with a light means at one end, a battery, and a circuit therebetween, so that when the circuit is closed the light means will generate light; the light means including a conical reflector, a white light LED emitting a conical light output and a double convex lens portion, the double convex lens portion being located away from the LED so that the outside diameter of the double convex lens portion will a circle of light from the LED which is of substantially the same diameter.

A headlamp lighting device is provided that allows for the adjustment of the size of the light beam and forward heat dissipation. The lighting device includes a housing, a light source provided on the housing for generating a light beam, and an optical focus lens disposed in the path of the light beam for focusing the light beam. The lighting device also includes a lens ring supporting the optical focus lens to move the focus lens relative to the light source to adjust size of the light beam. The lens ring also serves as an outer heat sink in thermal conductive relationship with an inner heat sink.
