A lockable electric power cord adapter has a unitary housing containing male plug blade receiving member therein wherein each blade receiving member has a pivotable locking member mounted thereon. The blade receiving member has a hole therein for allowing a barbed end of the locking member to pass therethrough and engage a hole in the male plug blade in the locking position. An actuator has actuating lugs thereon which pivot the locking members to an unlocked position when the actuating member is pushed against a biasing spring.

Lockable electric power cord adapter

A container for a pile of recyclable material includes bottom, side, and back walls and a substantially open front to facilitate inspecting the pile for contaminants. A pair of rotatable wheels on the bottom of the container, and a base on the bottom of the container are adapted to rest on a horizontal supporting surface such as a floor. A transparent retainer on the front of the container confines the pile of papers when the container is tilted and rolled from one location to another. The container bottom slopes downwardly away from the open front of the container, and the back of the container slopes upwardly away from the open front to promote forming a pile which is slightly inclined to vertical when the container rests on the horizontal surface. External means on the container facilitate picking up the container and dumping the pile in a collection truck.

Container for recyclable materials

A container for a stack of newspapers includes bottom, side, and back walls and a substantially open front to facilitate stacking newspapers in the container, and inspecting the stack for non-paper contaminants. A pair of rotatable wheels on the bottom of the container, and a base on the bottom of the container are adapted to rest on a horizontal supporting surface such as a floor. A pair of inwardly extending lips on the front of the container restrain the stack of papers when the container is tilted and rolled from one location to another. The container bottom slopes downwardly away from the open front of the container, and the back of the container slopes upwardly away from the open front to promote forming a stack which is slightly inclined to vertical when the container rests on the horizontal surface. External means on the container facilitate picking up the container and dumping the stack of papers in a collection truck.

Storing and transporting flexible sheets

A lockable electrical cord connector unit having a cylindrical connector housing made of electrically non-conductive material. A locking control ring telescopes over the connector housing and it is mechanically connected to structure within the connector housing that allows male electrical connector members extending from the housing to be locked into a female electrical socket. In an alternative embodiment the connector housing may have female sockets that can lock onto a male electrical terminal by using the same locking control ring structure. A second alternative embodiment provides for the connector housing to be an adaptor having male electrical terminal prongs extending from one end and having a female electrical socket formed in its other end. The locking ring allows both ends to be locked to mating electrical terminals.

Lockable electrical cord connector unit

A multi-gang electrical connector assembly for detachable connection to a conventional wall outlet electrical receptacle. It has a housing with two pairs of vertically spaced blade prongs extending from its rear wall. Each set of blade prongs also has its own ground prong extending rearwardly therebelow. The front wall of the housing has two vertically spaced horizontally oriented lines of pairs of laterally spaced electrical plug apertures. Each pair of laterally spaced electrical plug apertures also has a ground prong aperture. There is a shaft having a knob on its end that extends through one of the side walls of the housing at a predetermined height above each of the respective horizontal lines of electrical plug apertures. There are gripping means on each of the shafts for gripping the top edge of conventional blade prongs of male electrical plugs to keep the male electrical plug rigidly connected to the multiple gang electrical connector assembly.

Multiple gang electrical connector assembly

Disclosed is an extension cord generally comprising a waterproof socket which is adapted to receive a conventional plug. The socket comprises a pair of outwardly protruding buttons which when depressed, allow the plug to be inserted or removed from the socket. When the button is released, the plug is locked within the socket.
