A fluid supply system that may be used interchangeably to supply fluid for use in dental instrumentation including irrigation, application, aeration, and evacuation for treating a patient's mouth. The fluid supply system includes a dental handpiece that has at least one valve arranged within and operably disposed upon said handpiece, and is used to allow flow between the fluid supply system and the patient's mouth. The fluid supply system can also be used to decontaminate dental unit water lines when used with anti-microbial fluids such as sodium hypochlorite.

Multi-valve dental handpiece supply reservoir

A fitting and attachment assembly including a connector having a conventional proximal end and a distal end having a barbed portion thereon; said distal end being mateable with fluid delivery tubing. The mating end portion of said tubing including a separable annular collar in abutting relationship with the end of said tubing and a severable heat-shrinkable sleeve positioned externally of said tubing. A mechanism is further provided for severing said sleeve.

Connector and attachment mechanism for a lumen

An arrangement for releasably connecting a disposable dental tool to the discharge end of a dental handpiece. The connection includes a plug and socket configuration in which one member includes at least one detent portion arranged to snap fit with an indent portion on the remaining member.

Attachment means for a disposable dental tool

A solution applicator system comprising a retainer and a plurality of solution retaining containers removably coupled to the retainer. Each container has a removable end and a closed end and includes a receptacle, having an open end and a sealing structure sealing the open end, and an applicator member, having at least one end coupled to an absorbing material, both housed within the container.

Solution applicator system

A safety adapter for hypodermic needles and, in particular, double-ended needles of the type used in dental procedures. The adapter comprises two sections coupled together as a unitary device. One section is arranged to receive and house one of the projecting needles and the other section houses and protects the oppositely directed needle.
