The present disclosure relates to a system and method for synthesis of condensed nano-materials to at least one of create nanoparticles or modify existing nanoparticles. In one embodiment the system may have a source of liquid precursor, with the liquid precursor including a compound therein. A flow control element and a compression wave generating subsystem are also included. The flow control element is in communication with the source of the liquid precursor and creates a jet of liquid precursor. The compression wave generating subsystem drives a compression wave through at least a substantial portion of a thickness of the jet of liquid precursor to sufficiently compress the jet of liquid precursor, and to increase pressure and temperature of the jet of liquid precursor, to at least one of create nanoparticles or modify existing nanoparticles.

A system for high sensitivity, high time resolution detection of an arbitrary spontaneous emission is disclosed. The system may use a local oscillator (LO) for generating an LO input optical signal, and an linear optical mixer for receiving and mixing the input optical signal and an arbitrary spontaneous emission. The 2D detector generates a first component output and a second component. A subsystem receives the component outputs and produces first and second dispersed spectrum output signals. At least a first ultra-high speed camera is used for imaging one of the first or second dispersed spectrum output signals.

System and method for high sensitivity spectrometer with high time resolution

Strain waves of THz frequencies can coherently generate radiation when they propagate past an interface between materials with different piezoelectric coefficients. Such radiation is of detectable amplitude and contains sufficient information to determine the time-dependence of the strain wave with unprecedented subpicosecond, nearly atomic time and space resolution.

A combined door carrier and hanging device for transporting and hanging a door panel is provided. The combined device is generally defined by an elongated carrier structure having a first end and a second end, and includes a wheel supporting chassis to which a pair of beams are mounted and spaced apart to define an elongated slot. The chassis further supports a plurality of floor engaging foot members at the second end, a vise mechanism at the second end, and an axle having a plurality of floor engaging wheels at the first end. More specifically, the elongated slot is adapted to closely receive a door panel across its thickness, wherein one of the pair of beams is rigidly attached the chassis at the first end, but is free to flex at the second end to facilitate clamping of a door panel in the slot. The vise mechanism is attached to the chassis at the second end, which vise when operated compresses the second end of one beam moving the beam toward the other beam, thereby narrowing the slot and hence clamping upon a panel placed therein.

Door carrier

A header is received within an interior of a vehicle and secured against the roof portion thereof to extend transversely with respect to the front to back directions of the vehicle. The header supports a roller which in turn supports a flexible transparent or clear curtain which may be drawn downwardly to provide a portion of the vehicle air barrier to divide one portion of a vehicle interior from the other. A pair of side curtains are provided along each edge of the center curtain and are extendable outwardly to provide a further barrier to air circulation or air flow past the barrier. In one embodiment, the side curtains are formed of a flexible material and are hingedly secured to the vertical edges of the center curtain. In an alternate embodiment, a pair of side rollers are pivotally secured to the header and support respective side curtains which may be extended downwardly and drawn outwardly to complete the air barrier.
