Various systems and methods are described for gathering events and analyzing the events and nodes associated with the events. Various arrangements may include receiving events from one or more applications. An event may include two nodes and an action. These events may be stored and processed to determine relations between nodes. These relations may then be processed to determine the similarity between nodes. Further, the nodes may be ranked according to the importance of the nodes as compared with each other.

Methods and systems for collecting and analyzing enterprise activities

A system that provides secure autocomplete searching receives an autocomplete query from a user, the autocomplete query including a prefix of a search phrase, and retrieves security information of the user. The system searches one or more prefix indexes to find a set of matching objects, where the matching objects each include associated object security information. The system excludes matching objects that the user is not authorized to access from the set of matching objects based on the object security information and the user security information. The system then returns the set of matching objects to the user.

Autocomplete searching with security filtering and ranking

A distributed search system can include a group of nodes assigned to different partitions. Each partition can store indexes for a group of documents. Nodes in the same partition can independently processing document-based records to construct the indexes. One of the nodes can process a stored checkpoint to produce a repartitioned checkpoint. The group of nodes can respond to search requests during the construction of the repartitioned checkpoint. The repartitioned checkpoint can be loaded into the group of nodes to repartition the group of nodes.

Dynamic repartitioning for changing a number of nodes or partitions in a distributed search system

A distributed search system including a group of nodes assigned to different partitions, each partition storing a partial index for a group of documents. At least one of the nodes receives a search request from a user, sends the search request to a set of nodes, receives partial results from the set of nodes and creates a combined result from the partial results. The combined result includes results from a node in each partition.
