The invention relates to a method for producing a biofuel from an aqueous mixture of carbonized biomass obtained by means of a method for the hydrothermal carbonization of biomass, characterized in that it comprises: (a) grinding the aqueous mixture of carbonized biomass until a maximum size of less than 500 micrometers of the particles contained in the mixture is obtained; (b) applying a method for the physical separation of inorganic substances; and (c) reducing the moisture content until a water content of between 25 and 55 wt. % is reached. The invention also relates to the biofuel obtained by said method, and to the use thereof in various applications.

Biofuel product and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a method for extracting biochemical products obtained from a process of hydrothermal carbonization of biomass, which includes feeding an aqueous mixture of biomass from a preheating tube for the aqueous mixture of biomass to a vertical reactor with a predetermined level of floatation and an area for accumulation of steam and gases in the upper part thereof, wherein said method for extracting biochemical products is characterized in that it includes (a) heating the aqueous mixture of biomass to, or above, evaporation temperature in said vertical reactor and/or in a previous stage of preheating the aqueous mixture of biomass, increasing the generation of stream and/or gases at the predetermined flotation level of the vertical reactor, (b) extracting the steam and/or gases generated in the previous stage and accumulated in the upper part of the vertical reactor, and (c) cooling the gases and/or condensing the steam extracted in the previous stage at different levels of temperature and pressure. The invention likewise relates to the biochemical product obtainable from said method, as well as to a system for implementing said method.

The invention relates to a method for producing liquid fuel having a high alkane content and a low oxygenized compound content, said method comprising at least: a first step of treating 2-methylfuran with a catalyst and water in reaction conditions in order to form a mixture of products with at least ten carbon atoms; and a second step of catalytic hydrogenation and dehydration of the product or the mixture obtained in step 1, using suitable hydrogenation and dehydration catalysts.

Method for converting biomass into liquid fuel

The present invention describes a procedure for the production of liquid fuel having a content high in alkanes and low in oxygenated compounds, comprising as a minimum: a first step of alkylation of 2-methylfuran (commonly denominated Sylvan) with a furan alcohol 2 having the formula: (2), wherein Ris H or an aliphatic or aromatic or heteroaromatic moiety, Ris H or an aliphatic or aromatic or heteroaromatic moiety, and Ris H, hydroxymethyl or an aliphatic or aromatic or heteroaromatic moiety, in the presence of a catalyst, a second step of hydrogenation and dehydration of the compound obtained in step 1 in the presence of hydrogen, utilizing suitable hydrogenation and dehydration catalysts.

Production of liquid fuels (sylvan-liquid-fuels) from 2-methylfuran

The present invention refers to a process for the production of myrtanal from &#x3b2;-pinene epoxide that comprises at least of putting this epoxide in contact with a microporous and crystalline catalyst with pores of a diameter of at least 0.52 nm with an empirical formula for the calcinated and dehydrated form ofH(MTiSnZrSi)O In the present invention, the microporous and crystalline catalyst preferably has pores of at least 0.52 nm and has a crystalline structure with an X-ray diffractogram of a zeolite beta.

Production of myrtanal from beta-pinene epoxide

The invention relates to an aldehyde conversion method comprising putting an aldehyde into contact with oxygenated water and with a catalyst, under oxidation conditions, wherein the catalyst is a molecular sieve with pores of a diameter of at least 0.52 nm and has an empirical formula in a calcined and dehydrated form of(SnTiSiGe)Owherein x is a molar fraction of the tin and has a value between 0.001 and 0.1; y is a molar fraction of titanium and has a value from zero to 0.1; and z is the molar fraction molar of the germanium and has a value from zero to 0.08.
