A collector module () is described with a collector manifold () having two chambers. This collector module () has at least one collector tube (), which has an absorber tube () and a tubular jacket (). A connector () for each collector tube is provided which embraces the collector manifold () and receives the end of its tubular jacket (). The connector () has a cup-shaped receiving part () glued on its collector tube and a U-shaped connecting part () formed on the cup-shaped receiving part (), which engages the collector manifold (). A sealing device () is arranged on the U-shaped connecting part (). A torsion-stiff, self-supporting device is provided accordingly by this structure, in which each collector tube is not loaded with external forces, during to thermal expansion, transport, mounting or the like.

Prefilled, disposable syringes for injecting preparations with a fill volume of less than 5 ml are typically made of glass. The disposable syringe in this invention avoids the use of glass as a construction material. The body of the syringe with barrel, grip and nozzle is made of transparent, glass-like plastic with a very low gas permeability and is designed to be resistant to gamma rays and/or ethylene oxide gas, whereby the hypodermic needle is directly integrated within the plastic nozzle.

Prefilled, low particle, sterile disposable syringe for injecting preparations and procedure for manufacture

The invention concerns a container for injection, infusion, and diagnostic preparations, serving, on the one hand, as a long-term storage container, and, on the other, as a device for directly dispensing the preparations. The container has a glass barrel with a glass headpiece with a connector cone that acts as a nozzle. This is molded onto a glass barrel, thereby forming a single unit. A separate plastic, threaded section of an interlocking, conical joint is mounted onto the connector cone, accommodating a secured sealing cap that can be removed from the connector cone. The other opening of the glass barrel is sealed by a plunger that has a connection spot for a plunger rod. Furthermore, the container has a plastic grip mounted onto the inner wall of the glass barrel. Since the container, including the external profile, is, on the whole, designed to resemble a standard syringe, it ensures that the invented container can be accommodated by all current syringe pumps.

A method for manufacturing a filled syringe body within a single continuous manufacturing line in a self-contained environment with controlled conditions. The method includes the steps of injection molding the syringe body, sealing the one end of the syringe body, siliconizing the barrel of the syringe body, filling it, sealing the other end of the syringe, and sterilizing it. With this new 'injection mold-fill-seal' method, a syringe body can be manufactured as a mass-produced article in one manufacturing line in an inexpensive manner.

Method of producing a filled plastic syringe body for medical purposes

A glass bottle (1) fitted with a narrowed neck (2) which can be filled under pressure with chiefly a medically active substance sprayable by aerosol and with a propellant and which exhibits an opening which may be closed using a dosage valve (5). This glass bottle (1) has a sprayed-on synthetic coating (4) to protect it against shattering and splintering, preventing the user from being injured by the broken bottle. To substantially enhance this safety, the neck (2) of the bottle (1) has been fitted with a bulge like edge (3) at the opening which is also coated with the synthetic material (4) and onto which the dosage valve (5) is mechanically attached by turning. Furthermore, the coating (4) consists of an elastic synthetic material with pronounced increased shrinkage properties used for the summoning of pre-stressing force on the glass body (1) and it exhibits several hole-like pressure relieving openings (7) permitting rapid pressure release in case of shattering.

The invention relates to a device for administering substances at overpressure. The device includes a pressure vessel made of glass and containing a substance to be discharged from the pressure vessel and at least one propellent. The pressure vessel has an opening and an actuable discharge element mounted on the pressure vessel in the opening for releasing the substance from the pressure vessel. A self-supporting housing encloses the pressure vessel and at least a portion of the discharge element to prevent splinters of glass and the discharge element from being propelled away from the device in the event that the pressure vessel bursts. The self-supporting housing has a lower portion made of transparent plastic to facilitate viewing the substance in the pressure vessel.
