Methods, system, and user interface for collecting, combining, analyzing, providing feedback on APU data and external data are disclosed. The disclosed embodiments can help to track the quality of the APU, to improve the APU, and to make the APU better. The disclosed embodiments can help to improve APU reliability and to set service (or maintenance) intervals. The disclosed embodiments can help to establish a robust APU operating profile and provide a low cost, flexible, and high data-yield solution that can benefit the APU manufactures (or designers, maintainers) and the APU end users. The disclosed embodiments can also provide a low-cost data acquisition from the external devices and the APU through the use on an incentive-based user interface. The disclosed embodiments can utilize the existing mobile device display as HMI and the existing mobile device data plan and network connections as the data channel.

An outer guard assembly or system is described, which may be used in transport units, such as for example in transport refrigeration including the units and/or systems thereof. The outer guard assembly or system includes transitions components to facilitate mounting to a trailer or container of a transport unit, so as to shift or transfer load of the mounting from the transport refrigeration unit to the trailer or container, on which the transport refrigeration unit is mounted. The outer guard in some examples includes an openable mechanism to provide clearance, such as for example to open and/or access doors, panels, equipment, and components of a transport refrigeration unit.

Evaporator unit

A configurable evaporator unit for a secondary heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system that provides conditioned air within a cabin portion of a vehicle is provided. The configurable evaporator unit includes an evaporator unit and a blower assembly disposed within a housing. The blower assembly houses an evaporator blower for directing conditioned air out of the configurable evaporator unit. The blower assembly includes a plurality of blower openings for directing conditioned air out of the blower assembly. The housing includes a plurality of housing openings. One or more of the plurality of housing openings is prevented from directing conditioned air out of the configurable evaporator unit.

Transport refrigeration apparatus including a metallic frame having first and second upstanding end portions, an upstanding back portion, and a horizontally oriented portion which extends between the upstanding end portions and the upstanding back portion. The metallic frame includes first and second spaced end members each having first and second integral portions. The first integral portions form part of the upstanding back portion, and the second integral portions form the first and second upstanding end portions. The second integral portions function as support arms for refrigeration components of the apparatus, with each having a generally triangular configuration which includes a horizontally oriented lower side, a vertically oriented back side, and a flanged side. The flanged side includes a horizontally oriented lower portion which flares upwardly via a smoothly radiused intermediate portion to join an upper portion which slopes towards the vertically oriented back side.
