The teachings generally provide for a toolbox system comprising a toolbox that includes an upper surface, a lower surface; and one or more sliding assemblies connected to the toolbox at a location proximate to or on the lower surface so that when the one or more sliding assemblies are connected to a bed of a vehicle the lower surface of the toolbox is suspended above a horizontal plane of a top surface of bed walls of the bed. The sliding assembly of the toolbox is adapted to permit movement of the tool box along the horizontal plane so that the tool box is movable between a fore position and an aft position of the bed of the vehicle.

Movement of the lock bar between the locked position and the unlocked position can simultaneously interengage and disengage, respectively, with each of the locking surfaces of the plurality of rectangular elements, which interengagement limits upward movement of the rectangular elements.

A tonneau cover system for a vehicle having a cargo box and a tailgate movable between an open position and a closed position. The tonneau cover system includes a tonneau cover mountable to the vehicle and movable between deployed and open arrangements. In the deployed arrangement, the tonneau cover overlies the cargo box. In the open arrangement, the tonneau cover is opened for allowing access to the cargo box. A latch mechanism is movable between a locked position in which the latch mechanism secures the tonneau cover in the deployed arrangement, and an unlocked position in which the latch mechanism is released to allow movement of the tonneau cover into the open arrangement. The latch mechanism is biased in the unlocked position and comprises a tailgate contact positionable to engage the tailgate in the closed position to move the latch mechanism from the unlocked position to the locked position.

A tonneau cover system for a vehicle having a cargo box. A first side rail and a second side rail are coupleable to opposite lateral sides of the cargo box. The first side rail and the second side rail include a side rail retention member. A tonneau cover is configured to cover the cargo box and extend between the first side rail and the second side rail. First and second sides of the tonneau cover include at least one tonneau cover retention member. The side rail retention members cooperate with the tonneau cover retention members to maintain the first side and the second side of the tonneau cover in cooperation with the first side rail and the second side rail respectively, and thereby resist lifting of the first side from the first side rail and the second side from the second side rail.

A tonneau cover has rectangular elements pivotally connected together. An automatic latch can be coupled to a first rectangular element end of one of the rectangular elements. A latch actuator can extend from the automatic latch to a first latch-rearward rectangular element. The first latch rearward element can be rearward of the first rectangular element end. Movement of the first latch-rearward rectangular element relative to the first rectangular element end, as the tonneau cover moves between closed and open positions, can move the latch actuator which moves the first automatic latch between the latched and unlatched configurations, respectively.

A latch can be movably mounted to each of the side rails for movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. A release actuator can be movably mounted to the rear header to extend adjacent both latches for movement between a non-release position and a release position. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is in the non-release position, each latch engages the rear header in the locked position to lock the rear header and side rails together. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is moved toward the release position, the release actuator engages both latches and moves the latches to the unlocked position to unlock the rear header from both of the side rails.

A tonneau cover including a core panel having a first panel surface, a second panel surface, and a perimeter. An upper film is bonded to the first panel surface. A lower film is bonded to the second panel surface. The tonneau cover has a first section, a second section, and a flexible hinge separating the first and second sections. The tonneau cover is foldable between a deployed arrangement where the first section and the second section are generally planar for covering the cargo box, and a folded arrangement where the first section and the second section are stacked for allowing access to the cargo box. The tonneau cover has a first thickness at the first section and the second section, and a second thickness at the flexible hinge. The second thickness is less than the first thickness.

A tonneau system for a pickup bed comprising a bracket system connectable with a sidewall of the pickup bed and a plurality of hingeable sections pivotally coupled to each other to define a continuous surface. Each of the plurality of hingeable sections being connected to adjacent hingeable sections to permit at least some of the plurality of hingeable sections to be rolled together into a generally circular cross-section to selectively reveal the pickup bed.
