Provided are: methods for treating aging or an age-related condition, symptom or disease; methods for stimulating hair growth, regrowth or pigmentation (or preventing hair loss); methods for increasing the expression of an adenosine receptor in dermal cells (in combination with hair growth); methods for treating a condition or disease of the skin or at least one symptom thereof, including cosmetic treatment (e.g., wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, redness, rosacea, dryness, cracking, loss of firmness, loss of elasticity, thinning, and loss of vibrance). The methods comprise administering a sufficient amount of a CBP/catenin (e.g., CBP/&#x3b2;-catenin) antagonist as disclosed, and particularly wherein administration is in an amount and manner sufficient to provide for increasing the number of asymmetric renewing divisions relative to, or at the expense of symmetric divisions in relevant somatic stem cell population. In particular aspects, the CBP/catenin (e.g., CBP/&#x3b2;-catenin) antagonist comprises an alkyl and/or fatty acid ester derivative thereof as disclosed herein.

CBP/Catenin antagonists for enhancing asymmetric division of somatic stem cells

Provided are: composition and methods for: treating aging or an age-related condition, symptom or disease; stimulating hair growth, regrowth or pigmentation (or preventing hair loss); for increasing adenosine receptor expression in dermal cells (in combination with hair growth); for treating a condition or disease of the skin or at least one symptom thereof, including cosmetic treatment (e.g., wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, redness, rosacea, dryness, cracking, loss of firmness, loss of elasticity, thinning, and loss of vibrancy). The methods comprise administering a sufficient amount of the disclosed CBP/catenin (e.g., CBP/(&#x3b2;-catenin) antagonist compositions, and particularly wherein administration is in an amount and manner sufficient to provide for increasing the number of asymmetric renewing divisions relative to, or at the expense of symmetric divisions in relevant somatic stem cell population. In particular aspects, the CBP/catenin (e.g., CBP/(&#x3b2;-catenin) antagonist comprises an alkyl and/or fatty acid ester derivative of formula (I) as disclosed herein 

Substituted pyrazino[1,2-a]pyrimidines useful as CBP/catenin antagonists for enhancing asymmetric division of somatic stem cells

Multi-chip sources and related methods are disclosed. A single multi-chip lamp source can include a substrate and at least three light emitting diode (LED) chips operably configured to the substrate to form a single LED package. The LED chips can include at least three different colored LED chips. The LED chips can be configured to be actuatable either individually or together to provide selectable colored light beams. The LED chips can be positioned on the substrate such that an emitted light beam remains concentric without shifting regardless of the chip or chips emitting the light beam.

Single multi-chip lamp sources and related methods

A load carrier has a flat tray-like body that attaches to a vehicle by load bars. Multiple components may be installed on the tray body in many locations on the tray body, for containing and/or supporting cargo. One component is a cargo container that is captured and locked in one of several possible positions on the tray body. Other components are cargo posts that include one or more upending towers for supporting cargo by capturing generally vertical portions of the cargo between the towers, wherein the cargo posts may be non-pivotal, pivotal, slidable and/or adjustable. Another component is a hooked or curved depending assembly that suspends cargo from the edges of the tray body.

Load carrying system for motor vehicles

Disclosed is a load carrier made up of a flat tray like body which attaches to a vehicle by load bars. A cargo container attaches to the flat tray-like load carrier body, and is locked in one of several possible positions on the flat tray-like body. The load container may also be removed and the load carrier used without the cargo container. Devices for holding objects such as bicycles, canoes, kayaks, may also be attached to the load carrier.

Light emitting device multi-chip lighting units and related methods are disclosed. According to one aspect, a white LED chip, a red LED chip, a blue LED chip, and a green LED chip are operably configured to a semiconductor substrate positioned within a lighting unit housing. The lighting unit can therefore provide a white light beam, a red light beam, a green light beam, and a blue light beam. The LED chips can be configured on the substrate such that the emitted light beams can overlap. Thus, in addition to the white LED chip providing a white light beam, the red LED chip, the blue LED chip, and the green LED chip can be actuated simultaneously with the white LED chip to combine and emit a more powerful and intense white light beam. Additionally, the red LED chip, the blue LED chip and the green LED chip can be actuated simultaneously to emit an intermediary intensity white light beam from the lighting unit.

An improved crossed-beam charge-exchange ion gun in which a synthetic plasma is formed by injecting an electron beam into a collimated molecular beam just before the molecules are ionized by charge exchange with a crossed primary ion beam, thereby forming a secondary ion beam from the ionized but space-charge-neutralized and substantially undeflected molecular beam. The plasma thus formed extends to an aperture stop in an aperture tube which extends upstream from an anode downstream of which anode a cathode is placed. A field is formed within the cathode/anode space and within the aperture tube into which the plasma extends. The sheath edge of the plasma within the tube is curved by the field to form a meniscus, and the aperture, being smaller in area than the secondary ion beam upstream of the aperture, both collimates the secondary ion beam and acts as a lens stop for the subsequent immersion lens formed by the meniscus and the field region.
