A computer-implemented method and a computer program product for device pairing security. A computer scans a media device for a potential threat. In response to determining that the potential threat does not exist, a computer copies content of the media device to a secure media device. A computer configures a write protection mode on the secure media device. A computer configures a geofence policy, a low battery policy for the secure media device, and a security alert notification policy for the secure media device. A computer configures a policy of immediately wiping storage on the secure media device. A computer activates the secure media device for use on a host device in a secure facility. The secure media device includes an antenna of radio frequency identification, an antenna of a network, a microcontroller, and a battery.

Portable media geofence and device pairing security

Embodiments of the invention include preemptive traffic routing based on parsing of emergency dispatches. Aspects of the invention obtaining an emergency dispatch transmission and parsing the emergency dispatch transmission to obtain a location and a type of an emergency event. Aspects also include determining, based at least in part on the location and the type of the emergency event, an expected impact on traffic in an area including the location. Aspects further include transmitting the expected impact on traffic in the area to a vehicle navigation application.

Preemptive traffic routing based on parsing of emergency dispatches

An apparatus for deployment and retrieval of section dividers includes a frame, a deployment rail, a first section divider carrier rail, and a second section divider carrier rail. The structure includes a first end of the first section divider carrier rail coupled to a first end of the deployment rail and a first end of the second section divider carrier rail coupled to a second of the deployment rail. A first actuator coupled to the first end of the first section divider carrier rail. A second actuator coupled to the second end of the first section divider carrier rail. The structure further includes a first deployment and retrieval system coupled to the first section divider carrier rail, wherein the first deployment and retrieval system guides a first retrieval body at a first end of a first section divider from the deployment rail to the first section divider carrier rail.

Deployable and retrievable section dividers

A rotor assembly is provided and includes a rotor, tongs and an actuation system. The rotor includes a shaft defining a rotational axis about which the rotor is rotatable and rotor elements supported on the shaft to define grooves. The tongs are disposed in the grooves to occupy and move between first and second positions. At the first positions, the tongs are retracted from the grooves. At the second positions, the tongs are engaged in the grooves to disentangle fibers from the rotor. The actuation system is configured to bias the tongs toward the first positions and is actuatable to drive the tongs into the second positions.

Apparatus for disentanglement of fibers from rotors

A tool for performing remote part reseat actions. Responsive to receiving a request for a scheduled operation, the tool generates an operation table in a push file. Responsive to a determination that there is at least one redundant component for the scheduled operation, the tool identifies the at least one redundant component. The tool determines one or more tolerable errors for the at least one redundant component. The tool appends the at least one redundant component and the one or more tolerable errors to the operation table in the push file. The tool schedules the push file to prescribe one or more recovery operations for the scheduled operation.

Devices and processes for axial disentanglement of debris from a rotatable mechanical agitator generally includes a cleaning member including a top stem portion, an intermediate cutting portion, and a bottom base portion; and a cylindrically-shaped mechanical agitator rotatably mounted within a head unit. The mechanical agitator includes one or more channels extending along a longitudinal axis and the head unit includes a slot opening coaxially aligned with a channel when in use. The bottom base portion and the intermediate cutting portion are configured to traverse a length of the one or more channels, wherein the intermediate cutting portion is positioned to cut debris entangled on the mechanical agitator when the top stem portion slidingly engages the slot opening in the head unit.

Apparatus for axial disentanglement of debris from a mechanical agitator

An interlocking device for monitoring and enforcing shipping and acclimation conditions includes a servo motor, at least one locking pin, a battery, and a printed circuit board disposed within an enclosure, where the battery is electrically coupled to the servo motor and the printed circuit board. The interlocking device further includes a housing of an input power connector insertable into a first end of the enclosure to prevent the housing of the input power connector from electrically coupling to a power source, where the servo motor is configurable to engage the at least one locking pin to prevent a removal of the housing of the input power connector while inserted in the first end of the enclosure. The interlocking device further includes the printed circuit board configured to control the servo motor based on readings from one or more sensors electrically coupled to the printed circuit board.

Interlocking device for shipment monitoring and acclimation

An apparatus for monitoring condition of a braking system includes a brake pad with a friction material, a plurality of light transmission fibers, and a plurality of optical image fibers. A first end of each of the plurality of light transmission fibers coupled to one or more light emitting-diodes and a second end of each of the plurality of light transmission fibers directed towards a contact surface of the brake rotor. A first end of each of the plurality of optical image fibers coupled to an image sensor and a second end of each of the plurality of optical image fibers directed towards the contact surface of the brake rotor, where the plurality of light transmission fibers and the plurality of optical image fibers are configured to capture an image of at least a section of the contact surface of the brake rotor.

Remote optical sensor with optical fiber for brake condition monitoring

Adjustable fastener tools are provided for engaging socket heads. The tool includes a support member, multiple engagement fingers, and an adjustment mechanism. The support member has multiple radially-extending tracks, and a central opening, and the fingers are associated with, and slidable along, the radially-extending tracks. The fingers include at radially inner ends jaws with respective contact surfaces for engaging the socket head. The adjustment mechanism resides, at least in part, within the central opening in the support member, and couples to the fingers. The adjustment mechanism includes an actuating member and multiple hinged trusses. A hinged truss of the trusses is hingedly coupled at one end to the actuating member and hingedly coupled at an other end to a respective finger of the engagement fingers. Movement of the actuating member results, via the hinged truss, in slidable movement of the respective finger along its associated radially-extending track.

Adjustable fastener tools for engaging socket heads

An opto-mechanical fuse is provided. The opto-mechanical fuse includes a chassis component, an extrusion disposed on a monitored component proximate to the chassis component and a sensor. The sensor includes an optical conductor mounted to the chassis component to assume one of an optically transmitting state and an optically non-transmitting state in both power-on and power-off conditions. An assumption of the optically non-transmitting state by the optical conductor occurs due to an interaction of the optical conductor and the extrusion resulting from a predefined magnitude of deflection of the monitored component.

Opto-mechanical fuse

Embodiments of the invention include a fracture ring sensor and a method of using the same to detect out of tolerance forces. Aspects of the invention include a product having a defined an out of tolerance force, a fracture ring sensor, and a mounting assembly coupling the fracture ring sensor to the product. The fracture ring sensor is patterned with a conductive trace and is manufactured to break when subjected to a predetermined amount of force. The predetermined amount of force is substantially equal to a percentage of the out of tolerance force of the product.

Fracture ring sensor

Mechanical integrity sensors are provided to detect occurrence of an out-of-tolerance force on a component, such as a circuit board. The mechanical integrity sensor includes a light-blocking container and a light collector disposed within the light-blocking container. The light-blocking container includes a breakable panel. The breakable panel fractures with a force on the breakable panel indicative of the out-of-tolerance force on the component. Fracturing of the breakable panel allows light into the light-blocking container, and the light is collected by the light collector as indicative of the occurrence of the out-of-tolerance force on the component.

Mechanical integrity sensor

A method includes initiating a power on sequence of a computer equipment including a plurality of sensors at a serviceable location within a component of the computer equipment, the plurality of sensors communicating with a sensor monitor coupled with an interlock mechanism, and a service console capable of communicating with the sensor monitor, receiving feedback data from the plurality of sensors during the power on sequence, each of the plurality of sensors is detecting a physical condition at the serviceable location, determining whether the feedback data exceeds a predefined threshold value, the feedback data exceeding the predefined threshold value is associated with a fault at a serviceable location, in response to the feedback data exceeding the predefined threshold value, logging the fault at the serviceable location, aborting the power on sequence of the equipment, and prompting an equipment servicer of the fault at the serviceable location.

Damage detection system

An electro-mechanical fuse is provided and includes a chassis component, an extrusion disposed on a monitored component which is disposable proximate to the chassis component and a sensor. The sensor is mounted to the chassis component. The sensor is mechanically breakable in power-on and power-off conditions by the extrusion as a result of a predefined action of or relative to the monitored component. The sensor electrically signals an occurrence of the mechanical breakage during power-on conditions following mechanical breakage.

Electro-mechanical fuse for detecting monitored component deflection

An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and system for guided service procedure. The embodiment may include receiving feedback data from one or more of a plurality of sensors. Each of the plurality of sensors may detect a physical condition at a serviceable location within an item of equipment. The item of equipment may be undergoing a service procedure by an equipment servicer. The embodiment may include determining whether the received feedback data from one or more of the plurality of sensors exceeds a threshold value. Based on determining that the threshold value is exceeded, the embodiment may include alerting the equipment servicer during the service procedure.
