This invention are computer implementable programs and method designed as medical planning tool that (1) models the patient flow from the point of injury through more definitive care, and (2) supports operations research and systems analysis studies, operational risk assessment, and field medical services planning. The computer program of this invention comprises six individual modules, including the casualty generation module, which uses an exponential distribution to stochastically generate wounded in action, disease, and nonbattle injuries; a care providing module uses generic task sequences, simulated treatment times, and personnel, consumable supply, and equipment requirements to model patient treatment and queuing within a functional area; a network/transportation module simulates the evacuation (including queuing) and routing of patients through the network of care via transportation assets; a reporting module produces an database detailing various metrics, such as patient disposition, time-in-system data, and consumable, equipment, personnel, and transportation utilization rates, which can be filtered according to the user's needs.

Medical logistics management program

A system and method for estimating needed medical supplies based on a selected predefined operational scenario. A predefined operational scenario may be modified, a new operational scenario may be built, or a predefined operational scenario may be imported from an external source. A computer-readable program, system and method is provided for enabling a user to produce a query concerning relationships between patient conditions, tasks and medical supplies needed in specific locations. The production of a report or query is performed by referencing a database containing data pertaining to patient conditions, functional locations at which patients are to be treated (triage, operating room, etc.), equipment available in defined functional areas, tasks associated with treatment of defined patient conditions, medical supplies needed to carry out each defined task, and relationships therebetween, and determining needed medical supplies based on use data input and data contained in the database.

Computer implemented program, system and method for medical inventory management

A wearable electronic data collection and storage device is used for recording field medical data. The device is small, portable and easily worn, similar to a watch or medallion and is capable of interfacing with a large, external accessing system. The device includes an application specific integrated circuit card which is received in and is removable from a wearable/portable data entry, storage and retrieval device. The card includes a programmable memory for storing data. These two elements, when combined, form the MEDTAG unit. This unit also includes a memory for storing software, and a microprocessor for reading and entering data, and executing the software. The wearable/portable data entry storage and retrieval device includes an electrical connection to the removable card, a display for showing menus and data to a user, and two manual input buttons allowing the user to select from the menus and enter data into the programmable memory of the card.
