Techniques are disclosed for the provisioning of secure keys to an application. A first globally-unique value of a plurality of globally-unique values is received via a user interface of the application. The first globally-unique value and an application identifier of the application is provided to a computing system via a network. The computing system is configured to determine a second globally-unique value and a third globally-unique value associated with the first globally-unique value based on the application identifier. The second globally-unique value is then received via the user interface. The second globally-unique value is designated as a first secure key. The first secure key is stored in a first location of a memory of the computing device allocated for the application. A third globally-unique value is received via the user interface. The third globally-unique value is designated as a buffer key.

Embodiments described herein are configured for the provision of secure keys and the applications enabled thereby. For instance, an application may read in a first globally-unique value of a pair of globally-unique values from a physically-implemented machine-readable format. The application provides the first globally-unique value, along with a globally-unique identifier of the application, to a database. The database determines a globally-unique value associated with the first globally-unique value, designates the associated globally-unique value as a secure key, and associates the secure key with the application using the application's globally-unique identifier. The application then instructs a user to read in the second globally-unique value from a physically-implemented machine-readable format, which should match the globally-unique value determined by the database of the pair, and designates the second globally-unique value as the secure key.

Methods and systems for manufacturing a swallowable sensor device are disclosed. Such a method includes mechanically coupling a plurality of internal components, wherein the plurality of internal components includes a printed circuit board having a plurality of projections extending radially outward. A cavity is filled with a potting material, and the mechanically coupled components are inserted into the cavity. The cavity may be pre-filled with the potting material, or may be filled after the mechanically coupled components have been inserted therein. A distal end of each projection abuts against a wall of the cavity thereby preventing the potting material from covering each distal end. The cavity is sealed with a cap causing the potting material to harden within the sealed cavity to form a housing of the swallowable sensor device, wherein the distal end of each projection is exposed to an external environment of the swallowable sensor device.

It relates to the generation of 360&#xb0; overlapping sidewall ultrasound scans of a body lumen, and image processing techniques to assemble these scans into a high resolution continuous ultrasound image. Finally, it relates to the manufacture and assembly of such an ultrasound scanning capsule endoscope (USCE). The concept is extendable to conventional endoscopes and catheters.
