A dispensing capsule having a cap body, a bulbous actuator, and a sealing member. The cap body has a lip around its top portion that includes an annular groove on its underside. The bulbous actuator has a perimeter lip around its bottom portion, the perimeter lip having an annular protrusion extending upward. The bulbous actuator is attached to the underside of the cap body such that the annular protrusion of the bulbous actuator engages said annular groove of the cap body. The sealing member is disposed across the bottom portion of the bulbous actuator such that the perimeter lip of the bulbous actuator is disposed between the sealing member the lip of the cap body. The sealing member is configured to rupture upon application of force to the bulbous actuator causing an ingredient in the ingredient storage chamber to be dispensed from the capsule.

Modified blister blast dispensing capsule

The present invention relates to a mechanism and method for rigidly mounting a handrail to the interior of an elevator cab. The mechanism includes a threaded rod having a pivoting member at one end for passing through an existing or new opening in an elevator cab wall. Upon passing through the wall, the pivoting member can rotate to provide a brace against the exterior of the elevator cab wall. A base portion having a number of grooves on its exterior surface and threads on its interior surface threads onto the rod to create a solid connection to the cab's wall. The handrail, having a base portion receiver, is then securely attached to the cab by sliding over it the sleeve and having set screw(s) inserted through the handrail's receiver at points adjacent to the corresponding grooves in the sleeve.

A dispensing capsule includes a cylindrical cap body surrounding a cylindrical ingredient chamber. The chamber is disposed inside and extends through the cap body and is sealed at the bottom by a lower sealing member. A flexible actuator is attached to the top of the cap body. A moveable plunger is disposed in the chamber and is attached underneath and extends downwardly from the flexible actuator. Upon application of pressure to the flexible actuator, the plunger displaces downward and at least partially breaks the lower sealing member.

A dispensing capsule has an actuation cap including an internal punch, a cap body including a container connector, an ingredient-storing chamber disposed in the container connector and sealed by a lower sealing member, and an actuator base extending above said container connector. A sealed nozzle is attached to the chamber by a circumferentially disposed flexible actuator. A vented moveable plunger extends downward from the nozzle and is disposed within the chamber. The actuation cap is slidingly engaged with cap body at the actuator base. Upon application of pressure to actuation cap, the internal punch engages the nozzle causing the plunger to displace downward and break the lower sealing member to dispense the ingredients into a target container for mixture. The punch of the actuation cap is also capable of breaking the seal in the nozzle to provide drink-through access to the eventual mixture.

A dispensing capsule including a cap body having an outer race, an ingredient storage chamber, an upper sealing member, and a lower sealing member; a hollow plunger slidingly disposed within the chamber; an actuating cover disposed at a top portion of the cap body including a flexible actuator and an internal punch. The internal punch is disposed on an underside of the flexible actuator. The flexible actuator is configured to deform downward causing the internal punch to puncture the upper sealing member and engage the hollow plunger, causing a distal end of the hollow plunger to puncture the lower sealing member, therefore dispensing an ingredient stored in the ingredient storage chamber.

A container cap having a dispensing capsule for mixing ingredients at the time of use to extend shelf life. The device involves having a cap body having an internal passage; a chamber removably snapped into the internal passage of the cap body, the chamber including a flexible actuator and a sealing member sealing a lower portion of the chamber; a drinking spout slidingly engaged with a top portion of the flexible actuator of the chamber; a hollow plunger slidingly disposed within the chamber. The hollow plunger engages the flexible actuator of the chamber and the flexible actuator is configured to deform and engage the hollow plunger, causing the hollow plunger to puncture the frangible sealing member, dispensing an ingredient stored in the chamber. A resilient seal is inside the flexible actuator and a piercing member in the drinking spout is configured to puncture said resilient seal when the drinking spout is engaged downward. A drink-through channel is prescribed from the chamber through to the spout.

A dispensing capsule has an upper cap having a concave depression and a lower cap. The lower cap defines an internal chamber adapted to contain a first ingredient and has an upper flexible seal, a lower sealing member, and a plunger disposed in the internal chamber, whereby the plunger is engaged with the upper flexible seal. The flexible seal may be a blast or flexible bellow. The upper cap is threadingly engaged with the lower cap and lower cap adapted to threadingly engage a container, such as a bottle, IV bag, or the like. Twisting the upper cap with respect to the lower cap causes the concave depression to apply downward force to the upper flexible seal, causing the plunger to displace downward and break the lower sealing member, dispensing said first ingredient from the internal chamber into the container below.

A dispensing capsule has a cap body having an internal recess; a chamber removably snapped into the internal recess of the cap body, the chamber including a flexible actuator and a sealing member sealing a lower portion of the chamber; and a hollow plunger slidingly disposed within the chamber, wherein a top portion of the hollow plunger engages the flexible actuator of the chamber. The flexible actuator is configured to deform and engage the hollow plunger, causing a distal end of the hollow plunger to puncture the sealing member, dispensing an ingredient stored in the chamber. The distal end of the plunger may have a beveled cutting surface. The chamber includes two circumferentially disposed races defining an annular groove, wherein an annular protrusion in the internal recess of the cap body removably engages the annular groove of the chamber.

Dispensing capsule with snap in activation chamber

A drinking straw that can be used to dispense a substance such as vitamins, pharmaceuticals, or diet supplements that is stored inside of the straw body. The straw includes a one-way liquid flow valve at one end of straw that prevents drawn liquid and any of the dissolved materials from returning to the initial liquid source that is drawn through the straw when the straw is not in use. The straw may include a one-way valve or crimp for acting as a one-way valve.

A dispensing capsule, comprising a cap body including a chamber, whereby the bottom of the chamber is sealed by a sealing member. The cap body includes one or more plungers, each plunger received in a sub-chamber of the chamber, and one or more flexible actuators engaged to the one or more plungers, whereby the actuators are accessible at a top portion of the cap body. The flexible actuators may comprise a bellow-type blast or stepped blast. In some embodiments, a dust cover is provided to cover said top portion of the cap body. By applying pressure to the one or more actuators, the one or more plungers displace downward and break at least a portion of the sealing member. This allows for independent dispensing of an ingredient stored in each of the sub-chambers.

A dispensing cap for storing one or more ingredients in the cap body until the time of use. The stored ingredients in the cap are dispensed manually into a primary container for mixing. The dispensing cap includes a push-pull, flow-through drinking spout with a fluid valve for opening and closing the fluid flow from the primary container. The dispensing cap body includes several elements all of which are formed in a single molded cap body. The storage chamber of the dispensing cap includes a foil seal that can be partially opened by an activating member manually connected to the drinking spout for dispensing the ingredients into the primary container. The cap body is threadably attached to a primary container threaded neck.
