A method of generating and handling of Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connection profiles includes: collecting, each time a service is requested by a user of a DSL-connection, individual service-based-data, wherein the individual service-based-data comprise the start time and end time of use of the requested service and a transmit spectrum routed via the DSL-connection during the use of the requested service; analyzing the collected individual service-based-data and based thereon assigning to the analyzed collected individual service-based-data a current individual DSL-connection profile comprising individual repetition times and an individual mean transmit data rate; comparing the current individual DSL-connection profile with an individual DSL-connection profile stored in an operations scheduling memory; and based on the comparing, updating an already stored individual DSL-connection profile based on the current individual DSL-connection profile or storing the current individual DSL-connection profile as a further individual DSL-connection profile in the operations scheduling memory.

Method of generating and handling of DSL-connection profiles, thereby providing an adaptation functionality of a DSL-connection

The invention relates to a method and system for authentication of a user () at an access device by means of a cellular mobile radio network (). The access device gives access to a facility or a service different from the mobile radio network (). The cellular mobile radio network () comprises a base station () defining a mobile radio cell () with a unique identifier. A mobile radio terminal () having a unique identifier books into the mobile radio network () via said base station (), and the authentication is carried out by means of the identifier of the mobile radio cell () and the identifier of the mobile radio terminal (). The base station () is arranged at the location of the access device so that the access device has its own mobile radio cell () serviced by the base station (), this mobile radio cell () defining an authentication cell () of the mobile radio network (). The mobile radio terminal () is caused to book into the mobile radio network () via said base station () of said authentication cell () for the purpose of authentication at the access device whereupon the identifiers are sent to an authentication entity () that checks whether the user () is permitted to get access at the access device. Access is granted or denied depending on the permission of the user ().

Method and system for user authentication by means of a cellular mobile radio network

The application relates to location based telephone conferences. In a location based telephone conference, upon request from a user to join a telephone conference, his location is determined and he is joined to a conference according his location. However, in the prior art it is assumed that the user remains in the telephone conference even if he moves and changes his location. The application addresses a situation where a plurality of telephone conferences, each associated with a specific area (), are provided and a user moves between these areas. The telephone conferences are managed in such a way, that when a subscriber leaves an area assigned to a specific conference, he is switched into another telephone conference which is assigned to the area the user is presently located.

A blogging system is operated on a server connected to a cellular land mobile network where a media object for the blogging system is transmitted from a first cellular terminal over the land mobile network to the server and stored in a database connected to the server, and the media object can be retrieved from a second cellular terminal. A first parameter characterizing the geographical location of the first cellular terminal is determined and linked to the media object, and a second parameter characterizing the geographical location of the second cellular terminal is determined and compared to the first parameter. The media object is made available to the second cellular terminal only when the geographical position of the first terminal as characterized by the first parameter does not exceed a certain distance from the geographical location of the second cellular terminal as characterized by the second parameter.

Location based service voice blogging system for land mobile networks

A photonic scanning and delivery system capable of controllable transmission of light energy to an irregularly shaped treatment area are disclosed. The desired uniformity (controllability) of light energy application is ensured by a tracking device, which monitors the position of the radiation applicator and thereby prevents over- or under-radiation. The system employs a light energy delivery hand-piece. By these means, structures in the lower dermis are irradiated. Because of the large size of the treatment area, damage to surface tissue is avoided. The hand-piece can operate while in contact with the treatment surface. Treatment surfaces include non-medical work sites. Alternatively, the hand-piece can operate in a non-contact mode. The system can also be used in non-medical applications such as UV curing.

Device for application of radiation

A handpiece is presented which utilizes fluid channels instead of electric wiring to provide power to a treatment device. These fluid channels operate a micro-turbine generator that provides electrical energy to treatment devices. Each micro-turbine generator generates electrical energy for powering at least one electricity consuming functional device; wherein said electricity consuming functional device is selected from the group; a compact laser, an electromechanical dental drill, an ultrasound generator, a microwave generator and, an activator for treatment chemicals. In particular this device provides energy to a dental hand-piece without the need for electrical wiring or optics between the hand-piece and the control apparatus. One or more fluid channels permit fluids to flow between the control apparatus and the hand-piece. This flow of fluid operates the micro-turbine, which in turn produces energy to operate a medical/dental device. The fluid channels can also be used to deliver substances in conjunction with the medical device use. The hand-piece of this apparatus can be manufactured for a specific medical/dental procedure, or the apparatus can be made compatible/interchangeable with existing hand-pieces and control apparatus. This micro-turbine energy system provides the power necessary to operate many state of the art devices. For example, the energy produced can be used to operate a laser used for various dental applications such as drilling, pre-heating of the drill area, or activation of PDT substances.

In the present invention a laser treatment system is provided that can be used in any clinical environment without the necessity of personal safety equipment. Furthermore, the present invention provides a large amount of control to the operator/technician and the patient. The present invention combines mechanical and optical methods to protect operators and patients from undesired exposure to laser radiation. According to this approach, safe, portable and fixed embodiments that are useful in a large variety of applications, which are now possible. Several examples are described.

Laser safe treatment system

A frequency conversion diode beam combiner system is provided to multiplex several frequency converted laser beams and therefore keep the beam-quality of a single emitter. This multiplexing is physically impossible with free propagating beams. Both transformations, the frequency conversion and the beam multiplexing, must take place in one step in a single optical component or complex. This also aids the system to be very compact. The frequency conversion diode beam combiner system delivers a single beam which consists of several multiplexed beams from the converted radiation of the diode laser emitters. The high power high beam-quality of this device is not reachable with current diode lasers. A broad range of visible and infra-red wavelengths is possible. The frequency conversion diode beam combiner system can replace high power continuous wave (cw) solid state lasers, because its design is scaleable, small and simple.

A small, scalable, and inexpensive semiconductor diode laser system is described that includes a diode laser beam combiner comprising a cylindrical microlens, a lens array, and a fan window that optically combines energy outputs of at least two diode laser emitters or emitter groups. The diode laser beam combiner first collimates the diode laser energy and then optically combines the energy along a pre-determined axis, thus limiting effects due to space between the diode laser emitters. A chosen spot size and shape can be achieved by manipulating the number and size of lens array and fan window steps. Maximum power density and beam brightness available from the diode laser emitters or emitter groups is thus available at a work or treatment site.
