The invention relates to an electric meter () for measuring the electric consumption of an electric load (R), in particular while charging an electric vehicle. The electric meter according to the invention has a current measuring device () in order to measure a charging current (I) which flows through a charging cable () to a transfer point () for the load (R), wherein the transfer point () is preferably located in a plug () of the charging cable (). Furthermore, the electric meter () according to the invention includes a voltage measuring device () for measuring a voltage. According to the invention, the voltage measuring device () measures the voltage directly at the transfer point () of the charging cable () in order to determine line losses in the charging cable (), in particular in order to take into consideration the line losses when calculating the consumption.

Electric meter

The invention relates to an electric meter () for measuring the electricity consumption of a load (R), in particular during a charging process of an electric car. The electric meter () according to the invention contains a current output (), in particular with two current connections (), for connecting a connecting cable () leading to a transfer point (), in particular in a plug () of the connecting cable (), whereby the load (R) is supplied with an electric current (I) via the connecting cable () at the transfer point (). Furthermore, the electric meter () according to the invention contains a measuring circuit () for measuring at least one electrical consumption variable of the current (I) flowing via the current output () to the load (R). The invention provides that the electric meter () can optionally be operated in one of several operating modes, whereby the operating modes differ in the consideration of line losses in the connecting cable (). Furthermore, the invention comprises an associated operating method.

Electric meter and corresponding operating method

The invention relates to a current measuring resistor () for measuring an electrical current, in particular in the kA range, in a high-voltage network. The current measuring resistor () according to the invention comprises two connection parts () for conducting the electrical current in and out and a resistance element () made of a low-impedance resistive material. The resistance element () is arranged between the two connection parts () in the direction of current flow and is joined to the two connection parts (), such that the electrical current to be measured flows through the resistance element () during operation and produces a voltage drop across the resistance element (). According to the invention, the connection parts () and the resistance element () each have a substantially round cross section, in particular a substantially circular cross section, in a section plane perpendicular to the direction of current flow of the electrical current.

Current measuring resistor and associated production method

The invention relates to a measuring arrangement () for measuring an electric current (I) in the high-current range, in particular in the current range of more than 1 kA, having a low-resistance current sense resistor () for measuring current in accordance with four conductor technology and a physically integrated measuring circuit () for measuring the voltage which is dropped across the current sense resistor (). The invention provides several pairs of voltage taps for measuring the electrical voltage which is dropped across the resistor element (), wherein the pairs of voltage taps are connected to the measuring circuit (). The invention further provides two busbar connections () for connection to two busbars (). Corrections of the temperature coefficient, the thermoelectric voltage and the offset and also a high sampling rate and resolution allow high-resolution measurement of a DC current in a high AC current.
