An exhaust-gas conduction component that is effective as a vibration decoupling element and can be installed in an exhaust-gas system for conducting the exhaust gases of a motor vehicle internal combustion engine. The exhaust-gas conduction component () has an outer pipe () with a corrugated metal tube section () and an inner pipe () that is coaxial with the outer pipe () and separated from the latter by an annular gap. The outer pipe () also has a smooth central section (), first and second corrugated metal tube sections () and smooth first and second end sections (). The inner pipe () is permanently fixed to the outer pipe () by a continuous joint () extending around the central section () and the rectilinear exhaust-gas conduction component () is approximately axially symmetrical in relation to a central transverse axis (). The exhaust-gas conduction component is especially suitable in utility vehicles for linking an emission control unit to an internal combustion engine.

Exhaust-gas conduction component

A hose with interlocked profile, particularly for automotive exhaust systems. The hose is helically stripwound from at least one single-layer or multi-layer metal strip, pre-formed to the shape of an S, with the edges of adjacent strip windings being interlocked with each other by the legs of the pre-form which have the aspect of the S-shaped hooks, and by folded end rims. The hose has radial embossed recesses which bring adjacent interlocked folded edges partially in direct contact with each other.

Hose with interlocked profile, particularly for automotive exhaust

A flexible conveying element, in particular for the exhaust systems of automotive combustion engines, having a helically or annularly corrugated metal hose which is installed coaxially in the metal bellows. The outside diameter of the metal hose is smaller than the inside diameter of the bellows and the ends of the hose are situated inside the end fittings of the bellows. The metal hose has an interlocked profile and the bellows and the hose are in an at least indirect contact with each other in at least one additional zone between the two end fittings.

Flexible conveying element

A flexible tube element for an exhaust pipe of a vehicle engine includes a first end and an opposite, second end; a circumferentially corrugated metal bellows extending between the first and second ends; a first stripwound metal hose arranged coaxially with the bellows between the first and second ends; a second stripwound metal hose arranged coaxially with the bellows and the first stripwound metal hose between the first and second ends; and first and second generally cylindrical connection fittings arranged at the first and second ends, respectively, and being coaxial with the bellows.
