In response to detecting a configured quick response (QR) code change event associated with an item displayed in a retail environment, a changed dynamic QR code is displayed that includes an encoded new unique value. The changed dynamic QR code is changed from a previously-displayed dynamic QR code and is changed based upon a set of contemporaneous data elements associated the retail environment within which the item is displayed.

Creation and management of dynamic quick response (QR) codes

In response to detecting a configured quick response (QR) code change event in a retail environment, a changed dynamic QR code is displayed that includes an encoded new unique value. The changed dynamic QR code is changed from a previously-displayed dynamic QR code and is changed based upon a set of contemporaneous data elements associated with an item displayed in the retail environment.

A system detects and manages customer interactions with a product being presented at a physical location. A customer tracking device detects a customer within a predefined distance of a product during a first time period. A product motion sensor detects a movement of the product while the customer is within the predefined distance of the product during the first time period. One or more processors identify and record a first price of the product during the first time period. The customer tracking device further detects the customer within the predefined distance of the product during a second time period. One or more processors further determine a second price of the product during the second time period, and then determine a lower price of the product by comparing the first price with the second price. A price transmitter transmits the lower price to the customer during the second time period.

A system and computer program product for implementing a method for restricting access to information transmitted over a computing network. A computer receives a resource request for a resource to be located. The resource request contains a universal resource locator (URL). The computer determines that the requested resource is available and in response, the computer locates the requested resource contained in the resource request. The computer determines whether encryption of the contained. URL is required. The computer may determine whether encryption is required for a return URL of the requested resource that is to be returned to a location of the resource request. A processor searches for a matching mobile session from one or more saved sessions and available community sessions, provides one or more recommendation selections, and receives a selected recommendation for a current session or creates a new session as the current session. The available mobile resources are activated. A recommendation of mobile resources is provided. Any mobile resources used as part of the current session along a route to the destination location are recorded. A determination is made whether a new session is required and a recalculation is made for a new matching session. Information for a completed session is stored. The current session is stored as a new session with the corresponding initial location, destination location and resources used along the route to the destination location.

A processor: searches for a matching mobile session from one or more saved sessions and available community sessions, provides one or more recommendation selections, receives a selected recommendation for a current session or creates a new session as the current session, activates the available mobile resources, or obtains or provides a recommendation of mobile resources, records any mobile resources used as part of the current session along a route to the destination location, determines whether a new session is required and automatically recalculates a new matching session, stores information for a completed session, and stores the current session as a new session with the corresponding initial location, destination location and resources used along the route to the destination location.

A system including a computer and a computer readable hardware storage device containing instructions which, upon being executed by the computer, implements a method for restricting access to information transmitted over a computing network. A resource request for a resource to be located is received. The resource request contains a universal resource locator (URL). The URL is evaluated to determine whether encryption of none, part, or all of the URL is required. It is determined that the requested resource is available and in response, the requested resource contained in the resource request is located. It is determined whether encryption is required for none, part, or all of a return URL of the requested resource that is to be returned to a location of the resource request.

An application includes functionality for dynamically modifying controls based on readme documentation content after the development of the application is substantially complete. A developer marks up a documentation file to include references to graphical user interface controls. The application generates a registry that stores associations between the documentation content and the affected controls. The application then modifies the properties of the affected controls to alter presentation or at least one behavior of each affected control. When the application creates an instance of an affected control, the control includes the modified presentation or behavior.

Methods, computer program products and systems for updating a dictionary on a computer are provided including identifying a set of words included with an application program being installed on the computer and identifying one or more installed dictionaries within the computer. The dictionaries that are identified, typically by searching the computer for installed dictionaries, may then be updated by adding one or more words of the set to at least one of the installed dictionaries. Optionally, one or more installed dictionaries may be identified by the user responding to a query asking the user to identify dictionaries or applications that contain dictionaries installed on the computer. An application programming interface may add the words to the dictionaries by associating the installed dictionaries with one or more installed application programs and identifying an API that is specific for the application and using the API to update the dictionaries.

Updating dictionary during application installation

The present invention provides a dynamic, easily configurable system, which can be used to encrypt or otherwise hide the internal structure of a network. The present invention protects access to computing systems via a URL by encrypting all or a portion of the URL during the transmission of information over a network. Prior to the actual transmission of the information, fields in the URL can be encrypted using conventional encryption techniques. The encryption will occur after the destination has been determined such that the encryption will not cause the information to be misdirected to a wrong destination. At the destination location, there is first a determination that this URL is an encrypted URL. At this point, a decryption technique is employed based on the predetermined encryption scheme to decrypt the URL. The full URL is now accessed only by the destination location and is not accessible during travel over the network between the originating and destination locations.
