A system outputs data for performing an operation. The system confirms an identity of a device on which to perform the operation by receiving an input from the device and verifying that the input matches a known identifying information of the device. The system allows the operation to be performed on the device after confirming the identity of the device. The system receives feedback from a monitoring system that monitors states of a plurality of devices including the device, including a state of the device after the operation is performed on the device. The system determines whether the state of the device received in the feedback matches an expected state of the device after the operation is performed on the device. The system outputs data for performing a next operation after determining that the state of the device received in the feedback matches the expected state of the device.

Feedback based automated maintenance system

Examples are disclosed that relate to computing systems having a common conductive pathway. One example provides a computing system comprising a power supply configured to output electrical power for delivery to one or more power nodes, and one or more power monitors configured to identify a power overload condition based on the power output by the power supply. The computing system further comprises a parent controller configured to, based at least on receiving an indication of the power overload condition, transmit an instruction to one or more child controllers that causes each child controller to effect a change in an operational state of a corresponding power node. The computing system also comprises a conductive pathway along which electrical power output from the power supply is transmitted for delivery to the one or more power nodes, and along which the instruction is transmitted to the one or more child controllers.

A system for providing resources to customers includes racks, sub-rack level secure containment units in the racks, and a provisioning control system. The sub-rack level secure containment units each enclose system resources. The racks hold two or more of the sub-rack level secure containment units. For each customer, the provisioning control system may provision a set of sub-rack level secure containment units to the customer. The provisioning control system may monitor, and create a record of, events of physical access to the system resources in each customer's set of sub-rack level secure containment units.

A data storage module includes one or more carrier circuit board assemblies mounted in a rack. An array of removable solid state data storage devices (such as USB thumb drives or SD cards) is coupled to the circuit board assemblies. A data storage controller is coupled to the solid state data storage devices in the array. The data storage controller stripes data across at least two of the solid state data storage devices.

A modular computing system for a data center includes one or more data center modules including rack-mounted computer systems. An electrical module is coupled to the data center modules and provides electrical power to computer systems in the data center modules. One or more air handling modules are coupled to the data center modules. The data center module may include two pre-fabricated portions, each portion including a row of racks of computer systems. The two computing module portions of the data center module may combine to form a computing space when coupled to one another.

A remote-controlled data center floor tile of a raised floor plenum is adjustable by a remote control system to selectively direct air supplied from the raised floor plenum to cool particular rack computing systems in a data center. Floor tiles can include one or more remote-controlled flow control elements that can be independently adjusted to different particular configurations to direct air to one or more specific targets. A remote control system can independently adjust various flow control elements configurations in a network of various floor tiles to manage environmental conditions in a data center, including mitigating localized temperature hotspots at particular portions of a rack computing system. Hotspot mitigation can involve responding to detection of a hotspot at a target location by configuring one or more flow control elements to direct air supplied from the raised floor plenum to supply additional air to cool the target location.

A data center includes a floor that supports rack computing systems and walls that enclose a computing room. The computing room holds the rack computing systems. One of the walls is a movable wall. The movable wall translates relative to the other walls to increase or decrease the size of the computing room.

An apparatus for disposal of electronic devices includes a transport mechanism for transferring the storage devices through the apparatus. A scanner scans or reads the devices as the devices move through the apparatus, a sanitizer for degaussing or erasing the storage devices, and a destruction mechanism for physically deforming the devices. The apparatus is further configured to receive scanned information from the scanner, determine identification information for the devices based on the scanned information, and update status information of the devices during movement of the devices between the scanner, sanitizer, and destruction mechanism.

An air containment structure includes walls and an aisle between the walls. Computing devices are mounted to the walls of the air containment structure and the air containment structure separates air within the aisle of the air containment structure from other air in a facility. The walls of the air containment structure are configured to support respective weights of the computing devices mounted to the air containment structure. In some embodiments, infrastructure systems, such as power bus bars, cable trays, and cooling ducts are mounted to and supported by the air containment structure.

The formulation of multiple physical flowpaths that fit within a physical space. The formation of physical flowpaths is done by a 3-D printer using a representation of that flowpath that is within a utility flowpath model. The flowpaths are represented in the utility flowpath model so that there is high certainty that the respective physical flowpaths will actual fit into a physical space even if space is limited. Furthermore, the 3-D printing of those physical flowpaths ensures high precision in formulating the physical flowpaths to match the utility flowpath representation.

A power cable includes electrical connectors at a first end and a second end of the power cable. The electrical connectors individually or collectively include a built-in reserve power source, such as batteries or supercapacitors, and a control circuit configured to provide power to one or more downstream devices from the reserve power source when power received at one or more of the electrical connectors of the power cable is interrupted. In some embodiments, an electrical connector includes one or more indicators configured to indicate a state of the electrical connector and/or display one or more indications in response to receiving a signal from an external source, such as a management system of a facility.

A system includes one or more booths and an air moving system coupled to the booths. The booths may each include an enclosure, an interior space that accommodates a person, and one or more openings. The openings are such that a person in the booth can perform operations on a system or object outside the booth. The booth can be moved from one place to another relative to a floor. The air moving system cools air and moves the cooled air through the interior space of the booth.

A data center includes a plurality of racks on a floor and one or more fire suppression systems coupled to at least some of the racks. The fire suppression systems include reservoirs mounted on the racks, a fire suppression material in the reservoir, and one or more material dispensing devices coupled to the reservoir. The material dispensing devices may dispense fire suppression material onto or into the racks in response to a fire condition.
