An additive manufacturing device is provided and includes a printing material source, a printing head and a temperature control system. The printing material source is configured to contain a supply of printing material. The printing head is receptive of the printing material from the printing material source and is configured to print an object with the printing material. The temperature control system is coupled to the printing head and is configured to adjust a temperature of the printing material during printing to cause state changes of the printing material resulting in the printing material being one of soluble and insoluble in a solvent.

Heated three-dimensional printer head for variable material deposition

Aspects of the invention include receiving, at an operating system executing on a processor, a write request from a program to write data to a memory. The write request includes a virtual memory address and the data. It is determined that the virtual memory address is not assigned to a physical memory address. Based on the determining, the unassigned virtual memory address is assigned to a physical memory address in an overflow memory. The data is written to the physical memory address in the overflow memory and an indication that the write data was successfully written is returned to the program. Future requests by the program to access the virtual memory address are directed to the physical memory address in the overflow memory.

Buffer overflow trapping

A test apparatus is provided for use with a mainframe and an adapter. The test apparatus includes a logical adapter interface unit and a control system. The logical adapter interface unit is interposable between the adapter and the mainframe whereby an I/O signal transmittable from the adapter and to the mainframe is transmitted through the logical adapter interface unit. The logical adapter interface unit is configured to manipulate the I/O signal. The control system is coupled to the logical adapter interface unit and the mainframe and is configured to control manipulations of the I/O signal by the logical adapter interface unit to mimic a condition of I/O traffic being run through the adapter and to log a response of the mainframe to the manipulations.

Aspects also include allowing the memory access request based on a determination that the memory location is not present in a decoy address table. Aspects further include terminating a process that made the memory access request based on a determination that the memory location is present in the decoy address table.

Ransomware detection and prevention

Embodiments include a method of organizing communications channels associated with virtual functions of a single root input and output virtualization (SR-IOV) adaptor. The method includes organizing a first coupling channel according to a first channel path identifier bound to designated communications over a first virtual function of the SR-IOV adaptor allocated according to first virtual function resources that support the first coupling channel. The method also includes enabling access to the first coupling channel to a first guest operating system. The method also includes receiving a teardown command associated with the first coupling channel. The method further includes initiating a reset of the first virtual function that deallocates the first virtual function resources associated the first virtual function.

Light obstruction can be detected using a light obstruction sensor. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a light obstruction sensor, light being emitted by a light source, a light level being associated with the light, and the light source and the light obstruction sensor being disposed in a light assembly. The method further includes determining, by a processing device, whether the light level exceeds a first threshold. The method further includes, responsive to determining that the light level exceeds the first threshold, determining that the light being emitted by the light source is at least partially impaired by an object. The method further includes validating, by the processing device, the determination that the light source is at least partially impaired by the object to confirm whether the light source is at least partially impaired by the object.

Light obstruction sensor

A stovetop assembly where on/off status of a burner is controlled, at least in part, based upon whether the body of a cookware vessel is: (i) placed on a burner to complete an electrical circuit (for example direct current conductive circuit) or magnetic circuit; or (ii) removed from the burner to break the electrical or magnetic circuit. Also, a control box with a tether line extending therefrom that controls on/off status of a burner based, at least in part, upon whether a clip at a distal end of the tether line is mechanically connected to a cookware vessel.

A texturizer is provided and includes an extension arm and fine and gross motor controllers. The fine motor controller includes a heating element, one or more texturizing tools and a fine motor which is operable to control respective positions and orientations of the heating element and the one or more texturizing tools. Object texturizer

A method of removing a printed item from a 3D printer. The method may include loading a print bed into a 3D printer, where a bottom surface of the print bed may be removably attached to a print stage. The printed item may be printed by a tool head of the 3D printer atop the print bed. The print bed together with the printed item may be unloaded from the 3D printer upon completion of the printing, where unloading the print bed may include detaching the print bed from the print stage. The printed item may then be released from the print bed.

A method for visual hazard avoidance of a road hazard is provided. The visual hazard avoidance is implemented by an on-road projection system, which is integrated into a vehicle. The on-road projection system includes a projector and a computing device. The on-road projection system implements the method while the vehicle is in motion. The computing device causes the projector to generate a projection on a road as the vehicle is approaching the road hazard. Note that the projection identifies a tire path of the vehicle. The computing device also causes the projector to terminate the projection on the road once the road hazard in passed.

Memory management in a computer system is described. Memory is allocated within page-aligned real memory storage to requesting processes. During a normal operation mode, pages of the real memory storage are allocated in accordance with a buddy allocation algorithm. A triggering condition is detected. Responsive to the detection, at least one contiguous page-sized or smaller memory segment that violates the buddy allocation algorithm is allocated to a requesting process.

A method for forming an object includes rotating a first object forming device about a rotational axis at a first speed to apply a first force to the first object forming device. The first object forming device includes an additive manufacturing device.
