A warming drawer insert is provided that can be situated into and removed from a warming drawer without tools via a series of flanges positioned along the walls of the warming drawer insert. These flanges also suspend the warming drawer insert in the warming drawer, and create an air gap to allow heated air to flow into the warming drawer through a series of vents positioned along the walls of the warming drawer. The warming drawer is also spill proof and prevents damage to the electric components of the warming drawer while also allowing for easy cleaning.

A manifold skin/side trim combination for a domestic kitchen appliance built into a cabinet is provided. The combination includes a manifold skin having a main skin body having a first surface and a second surface, and an opening in the first surface; and a side trim of the domestic kitchen appliance configured to be positioned adjacent to a front face of the cabinet, the side trim having a main section, an insertion extension that extends into the opening, and a transition section that connects the insertion extension to the main section such that the insertion section extends at an extension angle greater than zero degrees relative to the main section. An outside surface of the main section of the side trim is in the same plane as the second surface of the main skin body, and the second surface is adjacent to the first surface.

Techniques are provided for constructing an appliance housing without the need for vertical fasteners. In one or more implementations, the structural components of an appliance housing are fashioned with a set of engagement points and slots, the engagement points and slots acting to physically arrest the structural components when assembled. Horizontal fasteners are then used to further secure the appliance housing.

A broiler reflector is provided between an upper wall of a cooking cavity of a residential oven and a broiler heating element. The broiler reflector helps to direct radiant heat energy emitted upward from the broiler heating element downward towards food items located beneath the broiler heating element. The shape of the broiler reflector helps to ensure that a sufficient amount of the radiant energy is directed to the front and rear portions of an underlying rack to ensure even cooking and even browning. The broiler reflector can include a front reflecting portion and a rear reflecting portion, each of which include first and second reflectors.

A manifold assembly having a plurality of controls for a domestic kitchen appliance is provided. The assembly includes a structural frame; an esthetic skin fixed to the structural frame; at least one clamp; and a control panel including the plurality of controls, the control panel being replacably removably clamped to the structural frame by the at least one clamp. The structural frame provides structural support for the skin and the control panel, and the structural frame includes control panel locating features that locate the control panel relative to the skin.

Manifold assembly for a domestic kitchen appliance

A modular, multi-piece, domestic appliance combination unit includes a lower appliance; an upper appliance; a universal connector bracket attached to the upper appliance; a support bracket attached to the lower appliance, the support bracket having a plurality of attachment locations that are positioned relative to each other in the horizontal direction; a slide mechanism having an upper slide member fixed to the universal connector bracket, and a lower slide member fixed to the support bracket and slidably attached to the upper slide member. The upper appliance moves relative to the lower appliance in a direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction when the upper slide member moves relative to the lower slide member, and the support bracket is attachable to the lower slide member at different ones of the plurality of attachment locations such that the lower slide member is positionable at different locations along the horizontal direction.

An exhaust baffle is provided for a domestic appliance. The exhaust baffle includes a support bracket having two tabs, the tabs being configured to slide into engagement with slots formed in the base of the domestic appliance, two support elements, each of the support elements extending from one of the tabs at an angle and having a bearing surface, and a bridging element that extends from the two support elements at an angle, the bridging element connecting the two support elements; a baffle top having a hot gas directing portion that rests on the bearing surfaces of the support bracket and an opening that receives the bridging element; and a baffle bottom having a substantially flat member, the baffle bottom holding the support bracket in the slots when the baffle bottom is in an operating position.
