Integrating a fulfillment service provider into a third-party application via an Application Programming Interface (API) is described. In an example, a computing device associated with a fulfillment service provider can determine, based at least in part on an indication of an interaction between a user and a third-party application, that the fulfillment service provider has been initialized. In one example, functionality associated with the fulfillment service provider can be accessible to the third-party application via an API. In at least one example, the computing device can generate, based at least in part on the interaction with the third-party application and while the fulfillment service provider is initialized, a recommendation of at least one of a service, a merchant, or an item associated with the fulfillment service provider. The computing device can cause the recommendation to be presented via at least one of the third-party application or the fulfillment service provider.

Methods and apparatuses that automatically detect availability of a reader mode for article content in a web page addressed by a URL are described. Availability detection may be progressively performed such that cheap operations are performed first to reduce the need to perform more expensive ones. A retrieval status of the web page may be detected to determine when enough content has been retrieved to initiate a detection of the reader mode for the web page. A reader indicator may be presented in a user interface of a browser if the availability of the reader mode is detected. A user of the browser may be noted with an alternative presentation of the article content from the web page in addition to a presentation of the whole web page by the browser. If the reader mode of the web page is not available, no reader indicator may be present in the browser.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for computing distance between devices. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of determining an approximate distance between a merchant computer and a customer device based on a strength of a wireless signal associated with data transmitted and received between the merchant device and customer device. The actions further include validating the approximate distance based on signals from a plurality of motion sensors of the customer device to generate a validated distance. The actions further include generating a list with the one or more customers ranked in the list based on the validated distance. The actions further include presenting, on the merchant device, the list of the one or more customers.

To integrate a courier service with a customer application, a system may receive a plurality of orders that are to be fulfilled by delivery along with a plurality of locations associated with a plurality of courier devices. The system can then generate a proposal for an order that is based on the plurality of orders and the plurality of locations. In some instances, the system generates the proposal to include one or more options for fulfilling the order, such as delivery by a courier, pickup by a customer, or dine-in by the customer. User interfaces for displaying or otherwise presenting these sessions can include icons representative of topics, and these icons can have different sizes depending on a frequency of web page visits within a topic. The topics can be displayed in time ranges or in a cover flow view or both time ranges and cover flow view.

Automatic organization of browsing histories

A user interface element for selecting items from a hierarchy of items can present a cell for each level in the hierarchy of items. Each cell can be associated with a level in the hierarchy and is operable to receive user input. In response to receiving user input directed to a cell, a collection of items can be presented where each presented item is from the level in the hierarchy associated with the cell. Each presented item can also be a child of a selected item in a cell associated with a higher level in the hierarchy.
