An exhaust treatment device comprises a housing defining an inlet opening and an outlet opening, a first catalyst brick and a second catalyst brick each having an inlet end and an outlet end, a first insulating support cover, and a second insulating support cover. The first catalyst brick is disposed within a first segment of the housing, and the second catalyst brick is disposed within a second segment of the housing. The first segment has an inner periphery that is not equal to an inner periphery of the second segment. The first and second catalyst bricks each have nonuniform dimensions with respect to one another. The first and second segments of the housing are independently dimensioned in proportion to the first and second catalyst bricks respectively. The first insulating support cover is disposed within the first segment of the housing in a first annular space between an inner surface of the housing and an exterior surface of the first catalyst brick. The second insulating support cover is disposed within the second segment of the housing in a second annular space between the inner surface of the housing and an exterior surface of the second catalyst brick. The first and second insulating support covers are independently dimensioned in proportion to the first and second catalyst bricks respectively.

A liquid/vapor separator assembly for a fuel tank of a vehicle includes a liquid separator plate adapted to be disposed within and secured to a portion of the fuel tank to form a liquid trap therebetween. The liquid/vapor separator assembly also includes a standpipe extending from the liquid separator plate and communicating with the liquid trap to allow fuel vapors to flow to a vapor canister. The liquid/vapor separator assembly further includes at least one valve mounted to the liquid separator plate to allow fuel from the liquid trap to return to an interior chamber of the fuel tank.

A seal assembly for a fuel tank having a tank opening therein includes an access cover adapted to close the tank opening. The seal assembly also includes a first seal made of a compressible material adapted to be disposed between the access cover and a tank surface of the fuel tank. The seal assembly includes a second seal made of a non-permeating material adapted to be disposed between the access cover and the tank surface. The seal assembly further includes an attachment plate for attachment to the tank surface and adapted to be disposed about the tank opening. The seal assembly includes at least one attachment fastener cooperating with the attachment plate to secure the access cover to the attachment plate and to seal the tank opening via the first seal and the second seal.
