An adjustable socket system includes a socket frame having a proximal area, a distal area opposite the proximal area, a first component arranged along a first side of the socket system, and a second component arranged along a second side of the socket system. The first component is connected to the second component. A tubular insert is arranged on an interior of at least the proximal area of the socket frame. The tubular insert forms an interior surface of the socket system. At least one tensioning element operatively connects the tubular insert to the first and/or second components. At least one tensioner is attached to the at least one tensioning element that selectively tensions the tensioning element to adjust a circumference of at least one area of the socket system.

Adjustable prosthetic limb system

A method of ordering a custom prosthetic or orthopedic device includes manually moving a portable scanner about an anatomical part of a patient to generate three-dimensional information representative of the anatomical part. The portable scanner is coupled to a mobile device routinely carried by a user. The method involves obtaining order information associated with the patient on the mobile device and transmitting an order with the mobile device to an intended recipient. The order contains at least a portion of the three-dimensional information and at least a portion of the order information.

Method and system for ordering custom prosthetic and orthopedic devices

A prosthetic device and a method for making the same includes a mounting plate assembly. The mounting plate assembly includes an inner housing having a first center channel defined along a central axis, an outer housing having a second center channel defined along the central axis, and a fluid regulator arranged between the inner and outer housings, and defined along the central axis. The prosthetic device includes a socket having a cavity and a distal portion whereat the mounting plate assembly is located. The mounting plate assembly further including an inner mounting plate having a first center opening defined along the central axis, the first center opening arranged to receive at least a portion of the inner housing; and an outer mounting plate having a second center opening defined along the central axis, the second center opening arranged to receive at least a portion of the outer housing; wherein the inner and outer mounting plates define a plurality of corresponding holes for receiving a plurality of fasteners for securing to the inner and outer mounting plates.

Mounting plate assembly for prosthetic device

An adjustable socket system includes a distal end portion having an axis, and a frame having a plurality of elongate fingers longitudinally extending from the distal end portion. Each of the elongate fingers defines at least two segments pivotally connected to one another and extending in a longitudinal direction relative to the distal end portion. The at least two segments are pivotable inwardly or outwardly relative to the axis. At least one elongate element is adjustably connected to the plurality of elongate fingers and forms part of a circumference of the adjustable socket system.
