Disclosed herein are various aspects of an improved snow or material pushers for use with loaders, backhoes, agricultural and larger home and garden tractors and the like for moving snow or other materials on generally flat areas such as parking lots, driveways, feed lots, runways, and loading areas. The improvements include, among others, a reversible design, extended side plates and/or wear shoes as well as improved scraping edge configurations so as to provide added functionality and versatility to pushers. As described the various features may be employed alone or in combination to provide the capability for snow and ice removal while minimizing the potential for damage to surfaces and objects thereon.

The present invention is an apparatus for use on large areas such as parking lots and airport runways to remove snow and other debris or material therefrom. The apparatus includes at least two blades pivotally connected to one another, and mounting receptacle or bracket having a series of pairs of posts extending from the rear thereof to facilitate operational attachment to a loader or similar construction equipment. The present invention further includes improvements to enable the segmenting and automatic folding of the pusher.

Folding pusher

A snow plow includes a central blade and left and right end blades pivotally connected to the ends of the central blade for movement between open positions in line with the central blade, and folded positions forward of the central blade. The rear of the central blade includes a horizontal slot for removable insertion of a loader bucket to lift and drive the plow. Side walls extend forward from the outer end of each end blade, each side wall including a removable wear shoe for sliding contact on a ground surface. The end blades are lockable in both their open and folded positions.

Snow plow

A snow pusher includes a blade with horizontal and vertical reinforcing channels, a reversible and removable rubber edge fastened to the blade and extending below its bottom edge, and a side plate extending forward from each end of the blade. Each side plate includes a removable wear shoe with inclined ramps for sliding contact on the ground surface. Upper and lower rows of posts extend rearward from the blade to form a slot for insertion of a front end loader bucket. Connection is secured by a releasable chain.
