A nickel-based alloy which includes at least the following alloy elements in wt. %: cobalt (Co) 10.3-10.7, chromium (Cr) 9.8-10.2, tungsten (W) 9.3-9.7, aluminum (Al) 5.2-5.7, hafnium (Hf) 1.8-2.2, tantalum (Ta) 1.9-2.1, molybdenum (Mo) 0.4-0.6, the remainder being nickel and impurities.

Nickel-based alloy, powder, method and component

A metal composition, a method for additive manufacturing using such metal composition and the use of such metal composition is provided. The components of the metal composition are selected according to ranges and typically provide a more generic applicability in additive manufacturing.

For the first time, components can be produced from MAX-phases due to the use of an additive production method. A method for producing a component from MAX phases, in particular from TiSiCand/or CrAlC, in which an additive manufacturing process is disclosed. Powder is applied layer by layer and densified, the grain sizes of the powder lying at 10 &#x3bc;m to 60 &#x3bc;m, in which the scanning speed between the energy beam of the laser or electron beam and substrate with powder lies between 400 mm/s and 2000 mm/s, in particular at 1000 mm/s to 1500 mm/s, in which the power output is between 80 W and 250 W, in particular is 100 W to 170 W, in which a spot size of the energy beam lies between 30 &#x3bc;m and 300 &#x3bc;m.

Method for producing a component from MAX phases

The use of a specific molybdenum-silicon-boron alloy and a particular production process in which powder is used makes it possible to achieve components which have a particular fiber-matrix structure and can be used for high-temperature applications and can also be produced inexpensively.

A device for additive manufacturing, in particular powder-bed-based additive manufacturing, having a build-chamber wall, which defines a build chamber and is designed to separate the build chamber from an outside area. The build-chamber wall has a hatch, which is designed for transferring at least partially a component that is to be built up in layers from the build chamber through the hatch into an outside area during an additive manufacturing process, and the component can be built up along at least one transferring direction beyond a dimension of the build chamber. A corresponding method includes the provision of a first portion of the component to be manufactured in layers in the build chamber, and the building up in layers of a second portion, adjoining the first portion, wherein an already built-up sub-portion of the component is transferred in layers from the build chamber through the hatch into the outside area.

A method for generating, in layers, an application structure made of high heat resistant super alloys on a substrate is provided. A powdery construction material is melted by an energy beam at a working point, wherein the working point is guided across the substrate along a primary movement direction and thus swings transversely to the primary movement direction. The working point thereby swings from a first edge of a respective layer of the application structure to a second edge of the layer. In this way, a time interval passes between departure from a respective edge and a return to the respective edge directly following the departure, such that a melt bath on the respective edge solidifies into a paste-like zone during the time interval.

Applying material along parallel welding lines per welding layer, and changing a direction of extension of the welding tracks by 90&#xb0; for the next welding layer, is provided.

Build-up strategy for a crown base of a turbine blade, and turbine blade

A method is provided for welding a substrate, in which an energy source and/or a material feed is or are moved in an oscillating motion over the surface of the substrate. The oscillating movement in a vertical and/or horizontal direction during welding results in smaller grains, which prevent the formation of fractures during welding.

Oscillating welding method

A process for welding directionally solidified metallic materials is presented. Process parameters are targeted selected with respect to laser welding, advancement, laser power beam diameter and powder mass flow. The temperature gradient, which is fundamentally decisive for the single-crystal growth during laser cladding, may be set in a targeted manner.

Single crystal welding of directionally compacted materials

A method of welding workpieces of high-temperature superalloys is provided. Welding filler is applied in a plurality of layers to a surface of the workpiece via a heat input zone and a supply zone for supplying the welding filler into the heat input zone. The heat input zone and the supply zone on the one hand and the workpiece surface on the other hand are moved in relation to one another. A polycrystalline weld seam is generated by remelting a previously applied layer of the plurality of layers. Welding parameters are chosen such that a cooling rate during a solidifying of the material is at least 8000 Kelvins per second. Further, a welding apparatus for carrying out such a method is provided.

Method and device for welding workpieces made of high-temperature resistant super alloys

A laser microcladding process utilizing powdered flux material (). A jet () of propellant gas containing powdered alloy material () and the powdered flux material are directed toward a substrate (). The powdered materials are melted by a laser beam () to form a weld pool () which separates into a layer of slag () covering a layer of clad alloy material (). The flux material deoxidizes the weld pool and protects the layer of clad alloy material as it cools, thereby allowing the propellant gas to be nitrogen or air rather than an inert gas. In one embodiment, the substrate and alloy materials are superalloys with compositions beyond the traditional zone of weldability.

Laser microcladding using powdered flux and metal

A clamping device for clamping a flat material test sample while a material test is carried out is provided. The clamping device includes a substantially cylindrical clamping part, from the free end of which there extends a receiving slot for receiving the material test sample, a pressure ring surrounding the clamping part in the region of the receiving slot, and a pressure sleeve provided between the clamping part and the pressure ring, the pressure sleeve is formed and actuable such that, under radial expansion, it connects the clamping part and the pressure ring together and clamps the material test sample held in the receiving slot.

The use of pre-sintered soldering plates, referred to as PSPs, frequently proceeds without a continuous, cohesive soldering connection between individual grains in the sinter material and between the sinter and base material. A process soldering of prefabricated, perforated, porous or drilled plates or porous, spongy, laminar material that, can be laid full-surfaced on a base element as a plurality of tiles or as individual porous, drilled or perforated inlay elements designed contour-close on a recess in the base material is provided. To this end, the selected plate materials can be mechanically equal to the base material or otherwise set off for the particular requirements of the component insert. The solder can be offset by specific diffusible, melting-point-lowering components. A mold that has an open, continuous porosity so that melted or fluid solder can flow through from the one surface to the other surface is also provided.
