The invention refers to a pseudo random number generator, PRN, and a method for producing a random number signal, and a system for a fast frequency hopping radio comprising a PRN, and a method for such a system.

System and method for implementing a random number generator

A method for synchronization of transmitted and received signals in frequency hopping communications systems. A synchronization unit is arranged for synchronization of transmitted and received signals in frequency hopping communication systems and a frequency hopping communication system including a synchronization unit.

Synchronization for frequency hopping (FH) communication

The invention discloses a system () for a fast frequency hopping radio, and comprises a transmit part () and a receive part (). Each of the receive () and transmit () parts comprise a unit () for random frequency generation, the random frequency generating unit of both parts being similar. The random frequency generator () of each of said parts comprises a pseudo random number generator, a PRN-generator, the PRN-generator being based on a FIR-algorithm, and said PRN-generator uses a clock signal which has been generated externally to the system as input. The external clock signal which is used is suitably a clock signal from the GPS-system.

System for a fast frequency hopping radio

The invention refers to a method and a system for enhancing the measuring accuracy in an antenna array (), where the method comprises the steps of; a) receiving analog signals on all antenna elements () at a first time t; producing first values for a first radiation diagram from the values in the signals from the first time (t), and; finding the maximum point () for the first values, b)&#x2014;reducing the signal from one interadjacent antenna element () at a second time (t); receiving analog signals on all antenna elements () except from the one switched off or reduced antenna element, and; producing second values for a second radiation diagram from the values in the signals from the second time (t); c) rejecting all values outside a first range () calculated from the first values, and; finding the maximum point () for the second values.
