A method is provided for pressure equalization when shutting a vehicle door or tailgate, wherein the door or tailgate is designed to close an opening into a vehicle interior, in particular to enable loading or unloading or entering or exiting. An airflow can be conveyed into the vehicle interior from outside the motor vehicle interior through an air inlet opening via an air inlet system. The air inlet opening can be closed via a closure device. The method detects a vehicle standstill mode; detects an opened vehicle door or tailgate; controls the closure device of the air inlet opening; and opens the air inlet opening.

Method for controlling a ventilation system for a vehicle interior

The invention relates to a method and a system for preconditioning a heating and/or cooling unit in a motor vehicle while the motor vehicle is at a standstill. The heating and/or cooling unit draws energy to heat and/or cool the vehicle interior from an electrical store. While the vehicle is at a standstill, the heating and/or cooling unit is activated in a first power stage in response to a signal of a remote starting device, and is then switched from the first power stage to a second power stage based on specified conditions. The first power stage may be designed such that the heating and/or cooling circuit is internally preconditioned to reach a specified target temperature by appropriately controlling the heating and/or cooling unit with the ventilation flaps at least nearly closed.

Method and system for preconditioning a heating and/or cooling unit in a motor vehicle

The invention relates to the controlling of functions of an information and communication system in a vehicle by means of physical keys. A control unit for an information and communication system of a vehicle is equipped for receiving a sequence of sensor signals of different proximity sensors of corresponding different mechanical function keys, to which corresponding first functions are assigned. The control unit is further equipped for detecting a swiping event over the mechanical function keys, wherein a swiping event comprises the fact that the sequence of sensor signals corresponds to the sensor signals of proximity sensors of corresponding adjacent mechanical function keys. The control unit is further equipped for assigning corresponding second functions to the mechanical function keys when a swiping event is detected.

Control unit, input apparatus and method for an information and communication system

A cooling device and to a method for controlling a cooling device for vehicles is provided, the cooling device including a refrigerant compressor, a condenser downstream of the refrigerant compressor in the flow direction of the refrigerant, a first evaporator downstream of the condenser for cooling air to be supplied to the passenger compartment, a second evaporator arranged parallel to the first evaporator for cooling an electric accumulator, and a control unit which is configured to control the refrigerant compressor as a function of the cooling demands for the passenger compartment and/or the electric accumulator on the basis of the higher cooling demand requirement. The cooling device may further include electric valves between the condenser and the first and second evaporators to control a cooling capacity of the first and/or second evaporator to meet the cooling demands of the passenger compartment and/or the electric accumulator.
