The invention relates to a road-building machine, comprising a drivable chassis () on which a driver's cab () having a control panel () is provided. For a working position with reduced set-up height, the lowered canopy () forms a free space () for an operator in the region of the control panel () of the driver's cab (), wherefore a canopy section covering the control panel () is designed such as to be movable relative to the chassis ().
