A computing device comprises a platform and an audio receiver component. The audio receiver component is provided on a front side of the platform and is oriented to emit sound out of the front of the housing. A gap volume adjacent to the audio receiver is defined by the front side of the platform and the front fa&#xe7;ade of the housing. The gap volume supports audio output from the audio receiver component. A first air channel is defined by a combination of (i) a through-hole in the platform at the gap volume, and (ii) an opening in a back fa&#xe7;ade of the housing.
