The invention relates to a device which enables the actuators and consumers provided on a roll stand for rolling metallic and non-metallic strips to be supplied with operating media. The inventive device comprises a self-supporting construction module consisting of elements of variable which can be connected to each other, the height, width and depth of said elements being variable.

Rails for supplying media

Sheet piling and like steel shapes are made in a caliber rolling mill having upper and lower rolls of suitable contour. One of the rolls is axially fixed and the other can be shifted axially in opposite directions so that shoulders of the rolls engage and these positions are stored along with a relationship of axial force and spring constants of the mill frame. The rolling then takes these stored values into consideration.

A shifting device for rolling stock placed on a roller conveyor includes a pair of linear shifting members which can be moved toward each other and away from each other transversely of the conveying direction of the roller conveyor and above the conveying plane of the roller conveyor, wherein the linear shifting members are each arranged on guide crossheads which are supported on rollers and are driven by drive devices arranged stationary outside of the roller conveyor so as to move the guide crossheads between and parallel to the rollers of the roller conveyor. The rollers supporting the guide crossheads are mounted in the two end portions of each guide crosshead and are guided on roller tables arranged on both sides of the conveying path of the roller conveyor and connected to the support frames of the roller conveyor.

A universal roll stand including a multiple-part stationary roll housing on the drive side and a multiple-part roll housing on the operator side which can be moved away, wherein the housings are connected to each other through hydraulically pretensioned tie rods or the like. The roll housings are composed of conventional two-high housing frames and vertical frames which can be fixedly anchored to the two-high housing frames. The vertical frames may be composed of several parts and include two flange-mounted beams arranged spaced apart from each other by the distance between the housing beams of the roll stand and a crosshead connected to the flange-mounted beams.

A rolling train, particularly a tandem stand group, includes three roll stands, particularly two universal stands and an edging stand, wherein a middle stand of the three stands or the edging stand is moveable out of the stand group transversely of the rolling line for exchanging the roll set and the guide fittings, and wherein the rolling train includes at least one shifting or manipulating platform with roll exchange sets and/or exchange fittings placed on carriages. The shifting platform moveable in rolling direction on the operator side is provided in the exchanging position at the outer sides of the housings of the outer stands with outer rails extending toward the drive side, on the one hand, and with central rails extending in alignment with the middle stand transversely of the shifting platform in the direction of the operator side, on the other hand, wherein the central rails extend beyond the shifting platform, and wherein middle rails extending toward the operator side are provided for each outer stand.

Rolling train

A rolling train, particularly tandem stand group, includes roll stands, particularly two universal stands and an edging stand arranged between the universal stands, wherein the roll stands are each equipped with guide fittings, and wherein the rolling train further includes a shifting platform arranged on the operator side and an exchange carriage moveable for changing rolls. The guide fittings are connected to the roll sets and can be moved out of the rolling line as a unit together with the roll housings on the operator side of the three roll stands.

A universal roll stand includes two vertical housings each being composed of a single piece, upper and lower transverse girders arranged above and below the vertical housings and lateral support projections for receiving vertical rolls. Tie rods are guided by the vertical housings and the transverse girders. Crossheads are insertable into recesses of the lateral support projections. A rigid universal stand is formed by connecting and screwing together the two vertical housings through the crossheads and the upper and lower transverse girders with the tie rods.

Multipart roll stand

A reversing two-high sectional rolling mill stand with multiple pass rolls whose bearing members are adjustably guided in windows of posts of the rolling mill stand. The rolling mill stand is arranged together with additional rolling mill stands of the same type adjacent to each other in series transversely to the rolling direction. The rolls can be connected to drive units or to drive transmission elements arranged between the rolls of adjacent rolling mill stands. Adjustable and fixable guide members for the rolled material are arranged on both sides of the rolling gaps for each of the rolls. The guide members are adapted for the section passes and are mounted jointly on support members which can be connected to the rolling stand. Connecting tops are hinged to the beams of the rolling mill stand and can be slid upwardly and pivoted outwardly for removing the roll. The bearing members of the rolls are placeable into a support frame which can be placed between the beams of the stands and can be moved out from between the beams. The support members of the guide members for the rolled material can be placed in the support frame.
