A method and device for evaluating a function for predicting a trajectory of an object in an environment of a vehicle. The method includes acquiring first environment data values representing the environment of the vehicle at a first point in time, and the first environment data values including a start position of the object and object parameters; determining a trajectory of the object as a function of the start position and the object parameters, the trajectory including a possible position of the object at a second point in time later than the first point in time; acquiring second environment data values representing the environment of the vehicle at the second point in time and including an actual position of the object; determining an agreement between the possible position and the actual position at the second point in time; and evaluating the function as a function of the agreement.

Disclosed is a fuel injection device comprising a housing and a valve element disposed therein and cooperating with a valve seat located in the area of at least one fuel discharge port. The valve element is composed of several parts while at least two parts of the valve element are coupled to each other via a hydraulic coupler.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine using direct fuel injection

A fuel injector for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. A fuel supply line enters an injector housing from a high-pressure fuel source which can be hydraulically connected to a pressure chamber. A 3/2 directional control valve for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber has a valve piston which can be moved axially back and forth between a rest position and an injection position. The 3/2 directional control valve, by a first end face of the valve piston, is hydraulically coupled to and can be activated by a piezoelectric actuator. The 3/2 directional control has a ball element which is connected to a second end face of the valve piston and, in the rest position, can be moved against a first sealing edge and, in the injection position, can be moved against a second sealing edge.

Fuel injector

Disclosed is a valve comprising a valve member () that is guided so as to be movable in the direction of the longitudinal axis () thereof, extends into a valve pressure chamber (), and is provided with a sealing surface () on a face which runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis () thereof inside the valve pressure chamber (). Said sealing surface () of the valve member () cooperates with a valve seat () that runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis () thereof so as to at least largely close an opening () which is surrounded by the valve seat () relative to the valve pressure chamber (). A connection () to a low-pressure area lies immediately next to said opening (). The inventive valve member () is also provided with a peg () which extends into the connection () and by means of which liquid that flows out of the valve pressure chamber () when the sealing surface () of the valve member () is lifted from the valve seat () is directed in such a way that said liquid applies at least nearly no resulting force onto the valve member () in the direction of the longitudinal axis () thereof.

Valve for controlling a connection in a high-pressure fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine

The invention relates to a magnet valve for actuating a fuel injector, having a magnet core and magnet coil received in the core. A closing spring acts on the magnet armature in the closing direction. An outlet gap for an actuating fluid is formed between a face end of the stop sleeve, oriented toward the magnet armature, and the magnet armature itself. The outlet gap discharges into a hydraulic damping chamber, which is defined by a face end of the magnet armature and by a damping face of the non-magnetic material.

Bounce-free magnet actuator for injection valves

A fuel injector with a direct needle control for an internal combustion engine, having an actuator, a hydraulic booster, and a nozzle needle guided in a nozzle body and acting on a nozzle needle sealing seat. The hydraulic booster includes a booster piston connected to the actuator and a nozzle needle booster piston connected to the nozzle needle; a booster chamber in the form of an actuator coupler chamber is associated with a pressure surface of the actuator booster piston; and depending on the pressure in the actuator coupler chamber, the nozzle needle is lifted away from the nozzle needle sealing seat, thus initiating an injection. In addition to the actuator booster piston, a control element is provided that is able to execute a stroke motion, is hydraulically coupled to the actuator coupler chamber by means of a first control surface, and is associated with a control chamber by means of a second control surface. The actuator booster piston has a second pressure surface, which, as an additional control surface, is associated with the control chamber.

Fuel injector with direct needle control for an internal combustion engine

A method for operating a fuel injection device, particularly of a motor vehicle. The fuel injection device is provided with an injection valve which has a piezoelectric element. In using the method, the piezoelectric element is activated in such a way that the injection valve goes over into an opened state. During the activation, an electrical voltage is ascertained and/or prespecified at the piezoelectric element and/or an electrical current is ascertained and/or specified via the piezoelectric element. From the path of the voltage and/or from the path of the current one may infer the point in time of opening of the injection valve.

Method for operating a fuel injection device, especially for a motor vehicle

The fuel injection system has a high-pressure pump that delivers fuel to an accumulator and fuel supply pump delivers fuel to the suction side of the high-pressure pump, with a fuel metering unit between the fuel supply and high-pressure pumps to variably adjust the fuel quantity taken in by the high-pressure pump. The accumulator is connected to at least one fuel injector and a return leads from the fuel injector(s). The fuel return from the injector(s) feeds into the connection between the fuel supply pump and the fuel metering unit. A connection controlled by a pressure valve leads from the fuel return to a discharge region. The high-pressure pump only draws fuel from the fuel return in operating states in which the fuel quantity delivered by the fuel supply pump is less than the required intake quantity of the high-pressure pump.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine

A fuel injection valve for a high-pressure injection of fuel from a central high-pressure reservoir into combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine, wherein, by means of an inlet throttle bore, the high-pressure reservoir is operationally connected to a control chamber which controls the opening and closing of the fuel injector, and wherein the control chamber communicates with an on-off valve by means of an outlet throttle bore. The inlet throttle bore is aligned eccentrically in relation to the control chamber.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a valve member guided axially displaceably, counter to a closing force, in a blind bore of a valve body. The valve member on an end toward the combustion chamber has a conical valve sealing face, with which the valve sealing face cooperates with a conical valve seat face on the inward-projecting closed end of the blind bore. A blind bore region, adjoins the conical valve seat face downstream, from which region injection openings lead into the combustion chamber of the engine. The blind bore wall region that receives the injection openings is embodied conically, and the injection openings have a certain minimum spacing from an upper and a lower end of this conical blind bore wall region.
