A circuit interrupter including a housing, separable main contacts disposed in the housing, and an operating mechanism disposed in the housing and interconnected with the contacts. The operating mechanism includes a cradle for moving from a first position to a second position in the event of a tripping operation and thereby causing the contacts to open. A trip mechanism is disposed in the housing and includes a rotatable trip bar assembly that, when selectively rotated, generates a tripping operation. The trip mechanism includes a rotatable latch that engages the trip bar assembly and the cradle and keeps the cradle in the first position when a tripping operation has not occurred. The trip mechanism further includes a tension member that is positioned to bias the latch in a first rotational direction.

A circuit interrupter including a housing, separable main contacts disposed in the housing, and an operating mechanism disposed in the housing and interconnected with the contacts. A trip mechanism is disposed in the housing and includes a rotatable trip bar assembly that, when selectively rotated, generates a tripping operation that causes the contacts to open. The trip mechanism further includes an automatic trip assembly for selectively rotating the trip bar assembly upon a predetermined current threshold. The automatic trip assembly includes a magnetic yoke having two arms with a pivot support on the top of each. Each of the pivot supports includes a pivot surface, and one of the pivot supports includes a rear retaining protrusion adjacent its pivot surface. The other of the pivot supports includes a front retaining member adjacent its pivot surface. The automatic trip assembly further includes an armature having pivot portions positioned on the pivot surfaces which provides for rotation of the armature between a first position away from the arms and a second position closer to the arms. A magnetic field is generated upon the predetermined current threshold which causes the armature to rotate from the first position to the second position and to rotate the trip bar assembly. One of the pivot supports also includes a downwardly facing stop. The downwardly facing stop is positioned to abut the armature when the armature is rotated away from the arms, thereby defining the first position.

The present invention provides an adapter member for attaching a pressure transducer to a housing member which has a fluid pressure communication passageway. The pressure transducer has a threaded fitting having a fluid pressure communication passageway for connection to a fluid communication line, such as an air hose. The pressure transducer has a mounting arrangement for attachment to a surface, such as a panel. The adapter member has a first body portion having a threaded fitting for mating with the threaded fitting of the pressure transducer and the adapter member has a fluid pressure communication passageway. A portion of the adapter member has an axisymmetric external surface portion for sealing against an inner surface of the fluid pressure communication passageway in the housing member.

Pressure transducer adapter

The present invention is a valve system for exhausting air from a brakepipe in a remote portion of a train. It has a pressure containment structure having a cylindrical bore and a piston mounted in the bore. A first valve chamber is on one side of the piston and a second valve chamber on a second side. A diaphragm seals between piston and bore, the diaphragm having an annular fold for permitting movement of the piston within the bore. The system has a first brakepipe pressure passageway for conveying air from the brakepipe to the first valve chamber and a control pressure connection for conveying air from a control chamber to the second valve chamber. A biasing means is provided for urging the piston toward the first valve chamber. A brakepipe exhaust valve connected to the piston is closed when the piston is moved toward the first valve chamber and opened when the piston is moved toward the second valve chamber so that when the pressure in the control chamber is reduced the brakepipe exhaust valve is opened and air is vented from the brakepipe. An annular sleeve is attached to the pressure containment structure and protrudes into the fold of the diaphragm to prevent the diaphragm from inverting if the pressure in the brakepipe drops below the pressure in the control chamber when the piston is positioned toward the first valve chamber.

Remote brake application valve

Choke for connection to a fluid flow passage for controlling fluid flow through the passage in a predetermined direction. The choke has structure for attachment to the fluid passage. It also has an internal fluid flow passage, which has at least one constriction. One or more mesh filters are located in the internal fluid flow passage of the choke, upstream of the constriction, to remove debris from the fluid which would otherwise interfere with fluid flow through the orifice.
