The invention relates to a configuration of an electronic apparatus that improves the utilization of the electronic apparatus. The better utilization is achieved by an apparatus including a body, a cover attached to the body, and a display part having a display, the display part being attached to the body and configured to slide between a first position and a second position such that when the display part is at rest in the first position, the cover overlaps at least a portion of the display, and when the display part is at rest in the second position, said portion of the display is visible.

Mobile communications terminal and method therefor

A keymat for use with a mobile station. The keymat includes a web for interconnecting a plurality of keys, the web and the keys lying external to the mobile-station enclosure when the mobile station is fully assembled. Means for retaining the keymat provide for it to be held in place during normal operation but permitting it to be removed so that user may exchange it for another. A plurality of key pins extending from the keys through openings in the mobile-station external housing may, but are not necessarily exchangeable with the keymat.

The present invention provides an improved hinge design for a mobile station or other electronic device that simplifies hinge assembly and thus, provides a more cost-effective manufactured product. Moreover, the improved hinge assembly complements the aesthetic appeal of the foldable mobile station and provides less stress on various internal elements. In particular, the present invention includes a foldable mobile station or other foldable electronic device having a first functional component that is coupled to a second functional component via a bi-stable structure. The bi-stable structure functions to bias the first and second functional components in either an open or closed position.

A battery lock for a communication unit with holding means for holding an internal battery in operating position in a battery compartment. The holding means includes features to hold, lift and release the battery in the compartment from the battery compartment. The battery compartment includes protruding parts corresponding to slots on the battery, where the protruding parts co-operates with holding means of the battery to hold the battery in the battery compartment. The holding means of the battery lock includes first protruding parts to hold the battery in the battery compartment, grips to lift and release the battery, holes to hinge the battery lock in the battery compartment, second protruding parts to lift the battery actuated by the grips and fastening means to fasten the battery lock to the battery compartment. The fastening means on the battery compartment to fasten the battery lock to the battery compartment include pivots to hinge the battery on, locking flaps to keep the battery lock on the pivots and protruding parts that connects to slots on the grips of the battery lock.
