A method for diagnosing the dynamics of a sensor in the fresh air or exhaust gas tract of internal combustion engines, as well as a computer program, a computer program product and a corresponding vehicle. It is provided that a corresponding sensor for measuring a pressure signal in the fresh air or exhaust gas tract of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, which is coupled with a control and computing unit, is checked with respect to its dynamic characteristics. Measured values of differing frequency ranges are measured, these being used as the basis for a calculation of a characteristic. After the calculation, the characteristic is compared with a threshold value stored in a user-defined manner in the control and computing unit. If the calculated characteristic deviates from the threshold value, at least one triggering signal is triggered, so that an impaired sensor dynamic of the sensor is displayed.

Method for diagnosing the dynamics of a sensor in the fresh air or exhaust gas tract of internal combustion engines

A method is provided for operating an internal combustion engine, which comprises at least one combustion unit, a fresh gas tract for supplying fresh gas to the combustion unit, and a fuel tank system. A fresh gas compressor as well as a differential pressure valve are integrated into the fresh gas tract. The first purge gas line opens into a first section of the fresh gas tract, which is situated downstream from the differential pressure valve as well as upstream from the fresh gas compressor, while the second purge gas line opens into a second section of the fresh gas tract situated downstream from the fresh gas compressor. The differential pressure valve is at least partially closed at least temporarily during an intake mode of the internal combustion engine with fuel vapor filter purging, and purge gas is introduced into the fresh gas tract via the first purge gas line.

A control configuration for a combustion engine includes a control unit which has a function that determines a reference variable by taking into account an operating state information, an upper limit and a cumulative actual variable. The reference variable influences an operating state of the combustion engine such that a plurality of actual variables are adjusted so that, in an operating time period with a combination of arbitrary different operating states of the combustion engine that are set in a random order, cumulative actual variables do not exceed upper limits in this operating time period, wherein a target function is minimized by selecting the reference variable from Pareto-optimal alternatives through use of an indifference curve. A combustion engine and a vehicle are also provided.
