The first plurality of teeth is configured to engage with a plurality of complimentary teeth defined in a second free end of a second tubular shell component, such that, when engaged, the first plurality of teeth is configured to remain engaged with the plurality of complimentary teeth under axial load.

An annular water removal system (AWRS) for an air cycle environmental control system (ECS) includes a line replaceable unit (LRU) configured to output air flow, and a water collector coupled to the LRU. The water collector includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion includes a coalescing unit having a collector inlet to receive the air flow and configured to coalesce moisture from the air flow output from the LRU. The lower portion includes a collection unit in fluid communication with the coalescing unit. The collection unit is configured to collect the moisture coalesced by the coalescing unit.

A heat exchanger includes a header and an annular core fluidly connected to the header. The annular core includes an inner diameter, an outer diameter, first flow channels arranged in a first set of layers, and second flow channels arranged in a second set of layers and interleaved with the first flow channels. Each of the first flow channels includes a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first axial region extending between the first inlet and the first outlet. Each of the second flow channels includes a second inlet, a second outlet, and a second axial region extending between the second inlet and the second outlet.

A heat exchanger includes a first flow circuit structure having at least a first portion defined by a plurality of conduits and a second flow circuit structure having at least a second portion disposed at the first portion such that walls of the second portion are disposed between the conduits and are free to move relative to the conduits. Fluid flowing through the first flow circuit structure is fluidically isolated from fluid flowing through the second flow circuit structure.

The multi-helical core section fluidly connects the inlet header to the outlet header via a plurality of laterally distributed helical tubes, each helical tube corresponding to one of the plurality of first fluid branches and oriented parallel to all others of the plurality of helical tubes at each axial location along the first fluid axis.

A plurality of independent second core tubes fluidly connect the second bifurcation to the second recombination.

During operation the hybrid assemblies are mounted on edge perpendicular with respect to the circuit board to minimize an area profile of the multi-hybrid module on the circuit board.
