A poppet valve having an elongated tubular housing and an internal bore. A flange extends within the internal bore supporting an interior tubular member. The interior tubular member itself has a central aperture and an inwardly protruding lip extending into the central aperture. A stem having collet fingers may be partially received in the central aperture of the interior tubular member. The collet fingers have a protrusion which is engagable with the inwardly protruding lip. A biasing element is provided biasing the stem toward a first position. An elastomeric seal may be disposed around the stem. When the stem is in a first position the elastomeric seal forms a fluid tight seal preventing fluid flow through the internal bore, and wherein upon application of a predetermined fluid pressure the stem transitions from the first position to a second position, whereby fluid flow is permitted through the internal bore.

A diversion and isolation tool is releasably connected to a workstring and lowered into a well. The diversion and isolation tool is movable in the well, and serves as a barrier to prevent fluids from mixing and is useful for plugging the well.

Apparatus and method for creating a plug in a wellbore

A weir assembly system comprises an insert dimensioned to be inserted into a section of a wellbore and a plurality of weirs spaced within the insert so as to increase the separation of solids from fluid within the section of the wellbore when the fluid is flowing through the wellbore. The plurality of weirs may be oriented to create a tortuous fluid flow path, such that a flow opening of a first weir causes solids to deposit at a second weir without obstructing a flow opening of the second weir. A well drop releasing device has a housing attachable to a well tubing. The device has a well drop carrier to carry a well drop. The well drop carrier is linearly movable to move the well drop from an exterior the well tubing into an interior the well tubing and release the well drop in the interior of the well tubing.
