Provided herein injectable implant compositions useful for acceleration of bone fracture healing, treatment of dental or oral pathologies, and controlled drug delivery.

Injectable implants

A composition which comprises a biologically active agent and a polymer that exhibits a reverse thermal gelation at a physiological temperature, in a carrier, and in which the active agent is in an undissolved form is disclosed herein. Further disclosed herein are methods utilizing the compositions for treating subjects, including non-human subjects, as well as kits for preparing and using a composition. The composition is preferably a sustained release formulation, and is particularly useful for treating animals, where single-dose treatment is desired.

Sustained-release injectable formulation

The present invention discloses liquid precursor compositions adapted for application on a hard surface in the oral cavity, comprising at least one therapeutic agent suitable for the treatment of oral disorders, at least one acidic-pH sensitive polymer, at least one hydrophobic polymer, and a pharmaceutically acceptable volatile carrier, wherein a weight ratio between said at least one hydrophobic polymer and said at least one acidic-pH sensitive polymer is larger than 1. The invention also discloses formulations formed of the solidification of these compositions, and methods for treating oral disorders by applying these compositions on hard surfaces in the oral cavity or to be placed in the oral cavity.

Liquid precursor compositions and uses thereof for a ph-dependant sustained release treatment of oral disorders

The present invention discloses a method of treating a head and neck cancer or preventing the development of pre-malignant lesions to this cancer, by administering locally to the oral cavity, a sustained release drug delivery system comprising a drug for the treatment of this cancer or for the prevention of said lesions, and at least one polymer, such that said system is attached to a surface in the oral cavity and remains attached thereto for at least 1 hour, accompanied by release of the drug and maintaining an effective therapeutic concentration thereof in the cavity, for at least 1 hour. Further are disclosed a sustained release drug delivery system and a liquid precursor varnish composition to this system.

Sustained release delivery systems for the prevention and treatment of head and neck cancers

Methods, systems and apparatuses are provided for producing delivery devices, preferably for oral intake of an agent. In the broadest aspect, the method comprises assembling one or more layers comprising one or more materials with an agent or an agent-releasing formulation to form an intergraded, preferably laminated device; folding said integrated delivery device to form a folded integrated delivery device; and at least partially enclosing said folded delivery device to a form suitable for oral delivery. Preferably, the integrated device comprise a first external layer of a first material; a frame of a second material mounted on the first external layer; an agent-releasing formulation housed within the frame; and a second external layer of the first material mounted on the frame.

Method and apparatus for forming delivery devices for oral intake of an agent

The present invention relates to a membrane comprising at least one positively charged, synthetic, hydrophobic polymer, at least one hydrophilic polymer and at least one plasticizer; wherein said membrane is flexible and is capable of supporting at least one of cell adherence, cell proliferation or cell differentiation. The invention further relates to use of a membrane of the invention in the preparation of an implantable devices including cell delivery systems, cell growing surfaces and scaffolds. The invention further provides methods for promoting tissue regeneration in a defected tissue region applying membranes of the invention.

The composition may further include an antibacterial, an antiviral, an antipsoriatic agents, or combinations thereof.

The invention relates to synchronous drug delivery composition comprising a polymeric matrix which comprises hydrogel blended with a hydrophobic polymer, so as to form an erodible matrix, a drug, and, optionally, an agent which enhances intestinal drug absorption and/or an agent which inhibits intestinal drug degradation, wherein erosion of the erodible matrix, permits synchronous release of the drug, the hydrogel and the intestinal drug absorption agent and/or the agent which inhibits intestinal drug degradation.

Controllled delivery system of antifungal and keratolytic agents for local treatment of fungal infections

The invention is directed to non-hygroscopic oral pharmaceutical compositions of a salt of valproic acid, and processes for preparing the compositions.
