The apparatus consists of a highly conductive contact disc member preferably an annular circular disc that is attached rigidly to a shaft member with a shaft member collar to rotates freely with the shaft member on a pair of bearings (or bushes), in a pair of housing members. The contact disc member has an even number of piezoelectric crystals attached radially to the circumferential contact disc member electrical contacts to form a symmetric array. An equal number of equal massive members are attached to the other ends of the piezoelectric crystals, again to form, a symmetric array about the rotation axis of the shaft member. Each of the massive members has the same weight for balance. Thus, each massive member is held unto the contact disc member's circumference by a piezoelectric crystal. Each massive member has a diametrically opposite massive member that can balance its weight.

The invention relates to the manufacture of cosmetic solutions for use on human hair using the effects of UV light and electrolysis. In particular, a specialized cross-linking of Hydrochloride protected thiols to form protected Thiazolidines is disclosed. The process uses both UV light and electrolysis to form stable cosmetic solutions that have a variety of uses.

A thermal engine includes a cylinder and piston and an insulated thermal battery including at least a thermal mass such as the engine block itself for storing and retaining heat to enhance or cause fluid expansion within the cylinder and drive the piston, the thermal battery optionally including an electrolyte chamber containing a thermal electrolyte for functioning as an electric thermal battery. Heat is stored in the thermal battery such as by activating electric resistance heating elements in the thermal mass. The stored heat either causes expansion of a non-combustible expansion fluid such as water or enhances the expansion of a combustible expansion fluid such as gasoline. Where the thermal battery is an electric thermal battery containing an electrolyte, the storage of heat also stores electricity which can be used to power an electric motor.

A self-cooling beverage container apparatus containing a beverage or other food product, a method of storing cryogenic gases which then cool said food products, and to methods of assembling and operating the apparatus. A self-cooling beverage container includes a container body having an openable portion, a pressure vessel substantially housed within said container body, the pressure vessel having a first chamber for containing a refrigerant, an actuation valve configurable from a closed configuration wherein the refrigerant is maintained within the pressure vessel to an open configuration wherein said refrigerant is allowed to expand and exit the pressure vessel upon opening of said container whereby refrigerant expansion and flow through said outlet conduit cools the contents of said container.

A sanitary cover dispensing apparatus for use with a shopping cart that is adapted to provide a fresh disposable portion of sanitary sheet material over the shopping cart handle using an electronic advance system actuated by a touch-free sensor. The sanitary handle cover dispenser comprises a housing containing a roll of sanitized paper of plastic sheet material wound about a rotatable reel mechanism and adapted to deploy a fresh portion of sanitized sheet material in covering relation with the shopping cart handle between uses. A reel mechanism is electrically driven and actuated by a touch-free sensor upon sensing the presence of a user's hand in proximity to the sensor. The sanitary sheet material is preferably adapted with advertising content. The dispenser is further adapted with an electronic display and wireless communication functions that enable the device to receive and display information directly to the user. Such features allow the user to send an e-mail message, such as shopping list, to the store such that the message may be relayed to the device upon the user's arrival and log in.

Sanitary handle cover dispenser with touch-free advance for use with shopping carts

A voraxial separation system having an auxiliary filter is disclosed for separating flowable composite media into components. The voraxial separation system receives a flowing stream of composite media and utilizes centrifugal force to separate the stream into component radial layers according to specific gravity whereafter one or more radial layers may be extracted from the stream. An auxiliary filtration apparatus includes a conduit having a flowable media input, a generally cylindrical filter disposed within the conduit, and filtered and unfiltered media outlets. An elongate spray tube is disposed within the tubular filter substantially adjacent to the radially inner surface of the filter. The spray tube is fluidly connected to a pressurized fluid source and defines a plurality of spray outlets disposed in a direction radially outward so as to direct pressurized fluid onto the cylindrical filter from the filter interior thereof to clean the filter of accumulated substances. A rotational drive system provides powered rotation of the spray tube, and a spectrophotometer assembly monitors the accumulation of component medium on the filter and adjusts rotation speed of the spray tube in response to filter loading.
