The present disclosure relates in one aspect to methods of adjusting a second system clock frequency of a slave or second device to a first system clock frequency of a first device connectable thereto via a unidirectional or bidirectional wireless data communication link so to reduce clock skew between the first and second system clock frequencies.

Reducing clock skew between clock signals of first and second hearing devices

A monaural hearing device includes: a first housing accommodating a first near-field magnetic induction communication unit and a first magnetic field antenna connected to the first near-field magnetic induction communication unit, wherein the first housing is configured for placement behind an ear of a user of the monaural hearing device; and a second housing accommodating a second near-field magnetic induction communication unit and a second magnetic field antenna connected to the second near-field magnetic induction communication unit; wherein the first and second near-field magnetic induction communication units connected to the first and second magnetic field antennas, respectively, are configured to perform near-field wireless data communication with each other.

Monaural hearing device with parts that are interconnected utilizing near-field wireless communication

A hearing device system includes at least three devices configured to communicate wirelessly via near field magnetic induction wireless link(s) based on a predetermined communication protocol; wherein the predetermined communication protocol defines a frame comprising at least a first time slot and a second time slot; wherein at least a first pair of devices of the at least three devices is configured to communicate in the first time slot, and at least a second pair of devices of the at least three devices is configured to communicate in the second time slot; and wherein the first pair of devices is configured to transmit in the first time slot with a first transmit power level, and the second pair of devices is configured to transmit in the second time slot with a second transmit power level that is different from the first transmit power level.
