Embodiments herein relate to filter restriction indicator () for a filtration system. In an embodiment, a filter restriction indicator () can have an electronics control cartridge () including an internal spacer frame (), a first circuit board (), a second circuit board () disposed over the first circuit board (), and a pressure sensor () in electrical communication with the first circuit board (). A filter fluid tube () defines a filter fluid channel () in fluid communication with the pressure sensor (). The internal spacer frame () can secure the first circuit board () at a fixed distance from the second circuit board (). A lower housing () defines an ambient pressure port (). A cap () defines an interior volume () into which the electronics control cartridge fits (). The cap () can define a shielding panel () configured to fit over an exterior portion of the ambient pressure port () when the cap () is engaged with the lower housing (). Other embodiments are also included herein.
