An analysis system includes a volatile organic compound (VOC) detection assembly enclosed in a housing assembly and configured to detect VOCs in a liquid. A thermal control assembly is disposed in the housing assembly and is configured to circulate air enclosed within the housing assembly and control an interior temperature of the housing. The VOC analysis system may be controlled to periodically conduct a VOC detection process. The thermal control assembly may be controlled to circulate air enclosed within the housing assembly and control the temperature of the enclosed air.

Analysis system and method for detecting volatile organic compounds in liquid

An analytical system and method for detecting volatile organic chemicals in water including a coated SAW detector that provides for improved reduction of moisture at the coating of the SAW detector. A stabilized SAW sensitivity and long lasting calibration is achieved. The analytical system further includes an improved sample vessel and sparger that allow for easy grab sample analysis, while also providing efficient purging of the volatile organic compounds from the water sample. In addition, an improved preconcentrator provides a stabilized sorbent bed.

Analytical system and method for detecting volatile organic compounds in water

A three-way poppet valve that can restrict or eliminate backflow without the use of an external check valve. Unlike conventional three-way poppet valves wherein both inlets can be open to the outlet at the same time during movement of the poppet, the valve according to the present invention can be configured to close both inlets prior to opening one of the inlets to the outlet. The valve features a poppet valve assembly that is operable to prevent both inlets from being open to the outlet at the same time. The valve assembly also reduces the force needed to close the valve against at least one of the inlets thereby allowing the use of a smaller actuator. A unique seal including a valve seat that is configured to conform to a valve member under sufficient pressure.

In an improved floating ball check valve including a body having an outlet port, a cap, having an inlet port, joined with the body, a ball guide slidably received within the body and having a ball pocket for receiving a sealing ball, a biasing spring for biasing the ball toward the inlet port, an annular seat retainer in the cap and a generally ring-shaped seat, of non-resilient plastic material of preferably thermoplastic or fluoroplastic composition, substantially received within a conical bore within the cap and retained therein via the seat retainer, with the spherical surface of the ball being urged into a sealing engagement with an arcuate/spheric sealing surface of the seat having a radius slightly larger than the radius of the sealing ball, with the noted seat materials and geometries permitting seat self-compensation for pressure and temperature. An improved manufacturing method is also set forth.
