Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support a two-step reporting procedure for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration adjustment. A base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) control information indicating a subset of DMRS configurations to be addressed for DMRS configuration selection and reporting. As a part of channel state feedback (CSF) evaluation procedures the UE may identify link quality characteristics and spectral efficiency metrics corresponding to the subset of DMRS configurations and determine a preference for a configuration change from the currently used DMRS configuration (which is represented by DMRS configuration determined from channel state information (CSI) reference slot) to a DMRS configuration of the subset based on the link spectral efficiency metrics comparison. The UE may transmit to the base station, a report comprising an indication of a UE request for the configuration change and in response, the base station may schedule the UE to report one or more selected DMRS configurations most convenient for the UE channel and reception conditions.

Two step reporting procedure for demodulation reference signal configuration adjustment

In some aspects, a wireless communication device (WCD) may obtain, on a technology-priority-based channel, a measurement associated with a detection of a communication associated with a first priority technology. The WCD may transmit, to one or more WCDs associated with a second priority technology that is associated with the technology-priority-based channel, an indication of the measurement associated with the detection of the communication associated with the first priority technology. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate, with a primary cell, one or more signals using a first beam that is associated with a first spatial direction. The UE may establish a connection with the secondary cell using a second beam from the subset of beams based at least in part on the measurements of the subset of beams. The first UE may transmit a second capability message indicative of a second capability of the first UE to perform joint processing for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications, where the joint processing includes assistance by one or more assisting UEs for reception of a message at an assisted UE. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a capability for the UE to support narrowband control signaling over a narrowband component carrier that is separate from data channel signaling over one or more wideband component carriers. The UE may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for the narrowband component carrier based on the capability and monitor for the narrowband control signaling on the narrowband component carrier based on the configuration. The UE may perform signal processing on narrowband signaling using a dedicated narrowband receive chain, which may include lower power components than a receive chain for wideband signaling.

A transmitting device may operate in a non-linear region of a power amplifier by reporting an indication of power amplifier characteristics and backoff values to a receiving device. The indication of the power amplifier characteristics and the backoff values may be based on power amplifier operation in the non-linear region of power amplifier characteristic curves. The transmitting device may transmit, to the receiving device, signaling using a single carrier waveform at a transmission power in the non-linear region of the power amplifier characteristic curves based on the indication. The receiving device may receive the signaling and use the power amplifier characteristics and the backoff values to perform debiasing and nonlinearity corrections to recover the original signaling.

For example, a transmitting device, such as a user equipment (UE) or network entity, may apply a pre-equalization operation and a normalization operation prior to transmitting a signal with an intra-symbol duty cycle. A receiving device (e.g., a UE or network entity) may receive the pre-equalized signal with a relatively low demodulation complexity based on the transmitting device pre-equalizing the signal. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting device may transmit an indication of the duty cycle to the receiving device in addition to the signal. The receiving device may divide the signal into streams and process the streams based on the indication of the duty cycle. Splitting the signal into streams and processing the streams to estimate symbols of the signal may support a relatively low demodulator complexity at the receiving device.

In some examples, the first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a control message indicating a set of pre-equalization transmission schemes supported by the first wireless device for receipt of messaging pre-equalized by the second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit a measurement report that indicates a measurement of a wireless channel between the first wireless device and the second wireless device, where the measurement may be a signal-to-interference and noise (SINR) measurement. The first wireless device may receive a control signal indicative of a first pre-equalization transmission scheme to be used by the second wireless device for pre-equalization based at least in part on the set of pre-equalization transmission schemes and the measurement. A method of wireless communication includes transmitting, by a wireless communication device, a first Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) transmission during a first slot. The method further includes transmitting, by the wireless communication device, at least a second SSB transmission during the first slot, the second and all other optional SSB transmissions on the first slot carry the same data as the first SSB transmission. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information for a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set, the configuration information indicating a usage type for the SRS resource set associated with Doppler tracking and a configuration for one or more associated SRS resource identifiers. Some configuration parameters of the SRS resource set and the associated SRS resource identifiers can be dynamically reconfigured in order to allow adaptive SRS time domain pattern for enhanced Doppler parameter estimation and/or synchronization loop tracking, among other examples. The UE may transmit one or more SRSs in accordance with the configuration or dynamic reconfiguration information for the SRS resource set and the associated SRS resources based at least in part on receiving the configuration and/or reconfiguration information. Configurations and dynamic signaling for doppler tracking sounding reference signal resource sets

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support synchronization signal block (SSB) coverage extension for a sub-terahertz (sub-THz) band. The UE may monitor for multiple primary synchronization signals (PSSs) in a first instance of an SSB, a number of PSSs determined by the base station based on a periodicity of the SSB. The UE may combine the PSSs and determine a frequency offset for the SSB. The UE may monitor for additional instances of the SSB in accordance with the frequency offset. In some examples, the UE may monitor for one or more secondary synchronization signals (SSSs) in the first and additional instances of the SSB and combine the SSSs. In addition, the UE may monitor for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in the first and additional instances of the SSB, and decode the PBCH using log-likelihood ratio (LLR) combining.
