The present application relates to perfume raw materials, perfume systems and consumer products comprising such perfume raw materials and/or such perfume systems, as well as processes for making and using such, perfume systems and consumer products. The perfume compositions, including the delivery systems, disclosed herein expand the perfume communities' options as such perfume raw materials can provide variations on character and such compositions can provide desired odor profiles.

Perfume systems

A perfumed detergent tablet comprises a clay mineral compound and a heavy metal ion sequestrant. The clay mineral helps disperse the tablet in aqueous media and acts as a fabric softener for laundered fabrics. The perfume is free of Schiff bases, such as those formed from anthranilates and aldehydes, which can discolor the clay.

An electrostatic spraying device comprising a nozzle, means for establishing a column of material to be sprayed within a passage leading to the nozzle outlet such that the leading surface of the column is spaced from the nozzle outlet, means for pneumatically ejecting said column or part thereof from the nozzle and means for applying high voltage to the material so that the spray formed by breaking up of the column on ejection from the nozzle are electrically charged. Dispensing devices

An electrostatic spraying device is disclosed which is suitable for, but not limited to, dispensing an electrostatically sprayable substance for nasal or oral inhalation. Electrical charge is imparted to the spray particles by applying a high voltage to the substance prior to break up into a spray. In one embodiment, the device includes a nozzle portion for registry with the nasal or oral cavity and defines a passageway through which, in use, air can be drawn by inhalation on the part of the user. The substance to be sprayed passes into the passageway so that, with the assistance of user-induced air flow through the passageway, the resulting spray passes into the oral or nasal cavity.

An electrostatic spray gun including a housing for receiving a replaceable fluid container, a nozzle from which fluid is to be sprayed, apparatus for expelling the fluid from the container and a high voltage generator for applying electrostatic potential to the fluid to form an electrically charged atomized spray at the nozzle. The replaceable fluid container is externally insulating and the electrical path from the generator passes through the fluid entering it at a point remote from the nozzle. A piston is employed to expel the fluid from the nozzle during spraying. The electrostatic spray gun has the advantage that it does not employ propellants and the paint need not be stored in a flexible plastic container thereby preventing loss of solvent during storage.

Relatively low resistivity liquids are formed into sprays under the influence of an applied electric field acting between a nozzle and the nozzle surroundings which may be at earth potential. The liquid issues from the nozzle as a ligament which undergoes necking to a diameter smaller than that of the nozzle orifice, thereby producing droplets with a volume median diameter less than the orifice diameter.
