A control system for a an oven having at least one cooking element and a surface warmer includes a microprocessor, a memory, and a user input interface for user entry of cooking recipes including a cooking mode, an oven temperature, and a cooking time. Up to five favorite recipes can be stored in system memory for selection by a user, and two recipes can be combined for automatic sequential execution. The surface warmer is operable upon manipulation of two input selectors within a pre-determined time, and a preheat algorithm preheats the surface warmer by applying a 100% duty cycle to the surface warmer until an oven thermal limiter input switch reaches a predetermined temperature.

Oven control method and apparatus

In one aspect, a dishwasher comprising a control mechanism coupled to a sensor for generating an output representative of whether sufficient water has flowed into the dishwasher during a fill operation is described. The dishwasher comprises a tub and a fluid circulation assembly for circulating water in the tub. The control mechanism is configured to determine whether terminate a current wash cycle based on a signal output by the sensor.

Methods and systems for water detection in a dishwasher

In one aspect, a dishwasher comprising a controller coupled to a human machine interface comprising an indicator corresponding to a dishwasher model type is described. The dishwasher further comprises a cabinet comprising a tub having a front opening and forming a wash chamber, at least one rack extending into the wash chamber, a water pump for pumping water into the dishwasher, and a door engaged to the cabinet for closing the tub front opening. The controller is configured to control operation of at least the pump based on the model type indicator.

Methods and systems for dishwasher model selection

In one aspect, a dishwasher comprising a control mechanism coupled to a sensor for generating an output representative of an amount of soil in the dishwasher water is described. The dishwasher comprises a tub, at least one filter for filtering water in the tub, and a fluid circulation assembly for circulating water in the tub. The control mechanism is configured to determine whether corrective action is needed to unclog the filter based on a signal output by the sensor.
