Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless node may receive a configuration indicating a parameter of a signal to be optimized for a portion of a frequency range. The wireless node may transform a feedback signal and a reference signal into a frequency domain. The wireless node may generate an error signal based at least in part on transforming the feedback signal and the reference signal. The wireless node may assign weights to the error signal to generate a weighted error signal. The weights may be assigned to the error signal in the portion of the frequency range and a remaining portion of the frequency range according to the configuration. The wireless node may transmit the signal based at least in part on utilizing the weighted error signal to apply digital pre-distortion to the signal. Numerous other aspects are described.

Weighted error optimization for digital pre-distortion

Aspects of the present disclosure provide signal amplification. An example method generally includes amplifying a version of a first input signal with a power amplifier in a first state where a bias voltage of the power amplifier is set to a first voltage based on a first tracking mode; obtaining a first output signal of the power amplifier in a second state where the bias voltage is set to a second voltage less than the first voltage; determining a predistortion associated with the power amplifier based at least in part on the obtained first output signal; applying the predistortion to the first input signal; and amplifying a version of the predistorted first input signal with the power amplifier in a third state where the bias voltage is set to a third voltage based on a second tracking mode, wherein the third voltage is less than the first voltage.

Signal amplification circuitry

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for a UE to determine whether to maintain or remove a radio frequency (RF) path from a set of candidate paths considered for transmit antenna switch diversity (ASDIV). The determination allows the UE to avoid signal loss or degradation in coexisting networks at similar frequency ranges. For example, ASDIV allows two or more antennas to form different input and output ports to establish different RF paths. Coexistent networks, such as wireless wide-area-network (WWAN) and wireless local-area-network (WLAN) may utilize different RF paths to optimize reliability and efficiency. The overlapping of the bands may cause signal attenuation or degradation from at least one of the networks. The present disclosure provides techniques for detecting signal attenuation at least partially caused by overlapping bands and removing an associated RF path to avoid such signal loss or attenuation.

Managing radio frequency (RF) paths for antenna switch diversity (ASDIV) using extractor in network coexistence

A new radio (NR) bit prioritization procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed, resulting in transmission and reception of modulation symbols having prioritized bits. For example, a transmitter may encode a code block using low-density parity-check code to generate a stream of encoded bits. The transmitter may arrange the encoded bits in one or more modulation symbols according to a relative priority of the encoded bits. The highest priority bits may be located in the most significant bits of the modulation symbol, and therefore be less likely to experience errors. A receiver may receive the modulation symbols and reorder the encoded bits according to the coding scheme based on the relative priority prior to decoding the encoded bits. The prioritization of the bits within the modulation symbols may provide improved block error rates over sequential mapping of encoded bits to symbols.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a first transmit power limit based at least in part on at least one of a specific absorption rate limit, a maximum permissible exposure limit, or a power density limit. The UE may modify, based at least in part on a scaling factor associated with a time interval, the first transmit power limit to obtain a modified first transmit power limit. The UE may transmit a signal based at least in part on the modified first transmit power limit. Numerous other aspects are described.

Techniques for scaling a transmit power limit

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support adaptation of digital pre-distortion (DPD) coefficients based on a temperature of a user equipment (UE). The UE may determine a power offset value based on a first temperature value associated with a training procedure for the UE, a second temperature value associated with the UE, and a constant value. The training procedure may be associated with multiple sets of coefficients for the UE. The UE may apply the power offset value to a transmission power level for transmission of a message. The UE may determine a set of coefficients of the multiple sets of coefficients based on the training procedure and the power offset value applied to the transmission power level. The UE may apply the coefficients to a DPD engine of the UE to generate the message for transmission at the transmission power level.

Techniques for temperature adaptation for digital pre-distortion factory training

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may configure a first set of throughput targets and a second set of throughput targets for an application layer. The UE may set a target throughput rate associated with the application to a required throughput target included in the first set of throughput targets. The UE may monitor a real-time throughput rate associated with the application layer. The UE may set the target throughput rate to a value in the second set of throughput targets based at least in part on a difference between the real-time throughput rate and the required throughput target satisfying a threshold. The UE may select, from a set of candidate beams, a serving beam associated with an estimated application layer throughput that satisfies the target throughput rate. Numerous other aspects are described.

Techniques for throughput-constrained beam selection with self-correction and virtual serving beam tracking

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. A wireless communication device may have an apparatus that aligns the non-linearity between transmit chains of the wireless communication device that are driven by the same digital port. The apparatus may adjust an amplification power out or an amplification saturated power to adjust a ratio between the amplification saturated power and the amplification power out for one or more transmit chains of the wireless communication device. The apparatus may adjust the ratios of transmit chains to align the ratios of the transmit chains for more consistent management of non-linear characteristics of the chain components. Numerous other aspects are described.

An interference canceller comprises a composite interference vector (CIV) generator configured to produce a CIV by combining soft and/or hard estimates of interference, an interference-cancelling operator configured for generating a soft projection operator, and a soft-projection canceller configured for performing a soft projection of the received baseband signal to output an interference-cancelled signal. Weights used in the soft-projection operator are selected to maximize a post-processing SINR.

Various aspects related to techniques for harmonization between common reference signal (CRS) and demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) based transmission modes (TMs) in unlicensed spectrum are described. In one aspect, a downlink/uplink (DL/UL) subframe configuration may be signaled for each subframe. Information provided by the DL/UL subframe configuration may indicate whether the respective downlink subframe is a single-frequency network (MBSFN) subframe (associated with DM-RS-based TM) or a non-MBSFN subframe (associated with CRS-based TM). In another aspect, periodic as well as aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting requests may be supported. In yet another aspect, discontinued reception (DRX) wake ups for unlicensed carriers may be explicitly or implicitly indicated to a user equipment (UE) via a carrier in a licensed spectrum.

Techniques for harmonization between CRS and DM-RS based transmission modes in unlicensed spectrum

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to retransmissions of data within wireless communication networks. For a retransmission, at least a portion of the encoded bits of an original transmission may be mapped to different bit locations in one or more modulated symbols based on a non-random mapping rule. In some examples, the encoded bits of a symbol may be reversed within the symbol for a retransmission. In other examples, the first and last encoded bits within a symbol may be switched for a retransmission. Other non-random mapping rules, such as a bit location offset, may also be used to map encoded bits to different bit locations in the modulated symbol within a retransmission.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support dynamic clock switching within a transmission time interval (TTI) to allow for more efficient and flexible processing within the TTI. In particular, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to use multiple clock speeds for processing signals within a TTI, and the UE may determine a clock speed to use for processing data within a TTI based on control information received from a base station. For example, the UE may determine an amount of time available for processing data based on the control information received from the base station, and the UE may adjust its clock speed to finish processing the data in the determined amount of time.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for estimating a channel using soft-windowing. A user equipment (UE) may determine, based on a cyclic prefix (CP) length of a channel, a timing window for sampling reference signals transmitted on the channel, determine a set of weights to apply to samples obtained within the determined timing window, wherein each weight corresponds to a sample obtained within the determined window, and estimate the channel by applying the weights to the samples.
