A diamagnetic levitation system having an open torus magnet segment with a pair of arms extending from a central base. The ends of the arms form a gap. The arms are superconducting magnets and the base is an electromagnet. The magnet segment creates a planar magnetic field which forms a flat ellipse as the planar magnetic field crosses from one arm to the other and which is positioned only across the gap. The electromagnet oscillates the planar magnetic field. The magnet segment levitates a diamagnetic object within and/or above the gap. A plurality of magnet segments can be arranged in series to form a levitation system of defined length. The magnet segments are rotatable so that the planar magnetic field may be tilted.

Diamagnetic levitation system for medical use

A subterranean ground heat exchange system, a method of installation, and a grout composition therefor. The grout composition is a pumpable slurry formed of from about 70 to about 85 parts by weight natural flake graphite and from about 30 to about 15 parts by weight bentonite. The solids content of the pumpable grout slurry is preferably at least 35% by weight and is more preferably at least 40% by weight. The ground exchange apparatus preferably utilizes an improved supply and return header comprised of supply and return ports which are provided through the vertically extending outer wall of a header housing. The header also includes an interior supply conduit which extends from the supply port into the interior of the header housing and includes a bend positioned in the interior of the housing for directing the heat transfer fluid downwardly.

Method, apparatus, header, and composition for ground heat exchange

Electrolytically treating water through influent inlet arrangements for cavitation and one or more pairs of electrodes. The electrodes can provide continuous anodic and cathodic operation for treating water. The pressurized influent premixed with oxidant gas can be pumped into the reactor vessel through the mixing nozzles arranged radially along the circumference. The polarity of the current to the electrode can be periodically reversed at a set interval. An electro-catalytic paddle electrode can be used for the treatment of flowback and produced water. The paddle electrode can consists of alternate pentagonal flat plate electrodes separated by adjustable variable distance Teflon spacers. The paddle electrode is provided with a chemical coating capable of switching/reversing the polarity of anodes and cathodes at ultra high frequencies under very high current flowing conditions thus making it more efficient, stable and durable under demanding field conditions.

A diamagnetic levitation system for levitating users to a levitation surface upon which they may engage in sports and other activities under relatively weightless conditions in a dome-shaped structure. Superconducting magnet segments are connected in series to form a superconducting magnet segment assembly. A plurality of these superconducting magnet segment assemblies form the diamagnetic levitation system. The diamagnetic levitation system not only generates the levitation surface to which players or other users are levitated but also confines them within the boundaries of the levitation surface. The magnetic field strength of the diamagnetic levitation system is self-terminating so that spectators viewing the players are not affected by the levitating magnetic field.

A sonic oil recovery apparatus for use in a well having a casing therein, has an injector tubing adapted to extend within an interior of the casing and a resonator tube affixed to or within the injector tubing. The resonator tube having an interior flow pathway so as to allow a fluid to flow therethrough from the injector tubing. The resonator tube is suitable for transmitting an acoustic signal of greater than 30 Hz therefrom. The resonator tube has at least two orifice plates formed therein. The orifice plates include an upper orifice plate and a lower orifice plate. The orifice of the upper orifice plate has a diameter greater than a diameter of the lower orifice plate.

An aqueous fluid treatment method and system is provided which preferably uses a 3 step electro-chemical oxidation process to remove organic contaminates from water. A high surface area electro-chemical reaction cell can be employed to remove organic particles and precipitate hardness salts from the aqueous solution. Several 3-phase spark arcs generated mixed oxidants and acoustic cavitations to remove dissolved organic compounds and oxidize organic metal compounds in the next step. Finally, a dielectric discharge in aqueous foam is used to eliminate recalcitrant organic compounds such as, but not limited to, polychlorinated aromatics, disinfectants, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals before release to environment or recycled.

A centrifuge separator for different specific gravity fluid separation. Gas enriched influent is then fed into a rotary impeller, where rotational energy of the impeller is transferred to the incoming fluid creating a forced vortex. Centripetal force exerted on the fluid particles help to separate the fluid/solids to rotate at different radius. Solids are moved towards a periphery of the tube where a cone collector facilitates to collect the solids. The conical shape allows the solids to slide into an annulus. The lighter specific gravity fluids are forced to segregate into two different rotating vortexes by virtue of the rotary motion of the impeller. The gas bubbles mixed with the influent help to accelerate the separation of two different specific gravity fluids.

Centrifuge separator

A diamagnetic levitation sphere having concentric superconducting coils encircling a hollow sphere. The inner surface of the sphere is lined with a 3D visual display screen. Users in carbon fiber suits are positioned within the hollow sphere by entering the sphere at its bottom end, standing on an elevator platform, and then being elevated up towards the center of the sphere. The superconducting coils are energized, the users are levitated while on the elevator platform, and then the elevator platform is lowered to the bottom of the sphere, closing the sphere. The users then float freely in space and can participate in a full emersion space ride game. The diamagnetic levitation sphere can also provide users unique experiences in physical training, therapy, entertainment, and education.

A method, apparatus, conduit, and composition for low thermal resistance ground heat exchange which preferably comprise, include, and/or use one or more of: a thin-walled, highly conductive filament wound conduit/casing formed using a thermosetting plastic composition containing a thermal conductivity enhancer; a grout backfill preferably including a sufficient amount of graphite, coke, or similar additive to provide a thermal conductivity of 3 Btu/hr-ft-&#xb0; F. and higher; and a drop tube delivery conduit within the casing, the drop tube having radial exterior ribs which extend into the fluid return annulus formed between the interior wall of the casing and the exterior of the drop tube.

Method, apparatus, conduit, and composition for low thermal resistance ground heat exchange

A sonic oil recovery apparatus for use in a well has an injector tubing extending interior of the casing of the well, and a resonator tube affixed to or within the injector tubing. The resonator tube has an interior flow pathway so as to allow a fluid to flow therethrough from the injector tubing. The resonator tube is suitable for transmitting an acoustic signal approximately equal to the resonate frequency of a formation in the well. The resonator tube can have a plurality of orifices plates formed therein such that the fluid flowing through the resonator tube generates the acoustic signal. The resonator tube can alternatively be a solid state acoustic resonator therein.

An electrochlorination and electrochemical system for the on-site generation and treatment of municipal water supplies and other reservoirs of water, by using a custom mixed oxidant and mixed reductant generating system for the enhanced destruction of water borne contaminants by creating custom oxidation-reduction-reactant chemistries with real time monitoring. A range of chemical precursors are provided that when acted upon in an electrochemical cell either create an enhanced oxidation, or reduction environment for the destruction or control of contaminants. Chemical agents that can be used to control standard water quality parameters such as total hardness, total alkalinity, pH, total dissolved solids, and the like are introduced via the chemical precursor injection subsystem infrequently or in real time based on sensor inputs and controller set points.

An apparatus and method for electrolytically treating water which can include the influent inlet arrangements for cavitation and one or more pairs of electrodes. The electrodes can be suitable for a continuous anodic and cathodic operation for treating water. The pressurized influent premixed with oxidant gas, such as, but not limited to, Ozone or Oxygen can be pumped into the reactor vessel through the mixing nozzles preferably arranged radially along the circumference. A power source for each reactor provides voltage and current to the electrodes. The controller maintains the voltage and current to the electrode. The duration of each voltage polarity applied to each electrode can be preferably the same. The polarity of the voltage to the electrode can be periodically reversed at a set interval.
